College Football Friday Night Open Thread

Submitted by zxcvbn on

We have Tennessee vs. NC state going on in a couple minutes, and Little Brother vs. The Smurfs in about half an hour. Talk about them here.

Both games should be on firstrowsports.eu for those who will inevitably ask where to stream these games.

I'm no fan of cheering for the Big Ten unless its not MSU or OSU. As long as Michigan does good and those 2 teams fo not, I'm a happy man and could care leas about what the reat of the B1G does. That's just me though.

This whole root for the conference really bugs me.  There is no formula for who you should vote for.  If you want a team to win, root for them.  If you want a team to lose, root against them.  I get the feeling that the Big Ten vs SEC is just a way to boost ratings.

A 50-yarder. Who the heck is MSU's kicker? Did they find a Gramatica?

But, yea, Maxwell does not look good when any bit of pressure is put on him especially from the back seven.

Bell, OTOH, looks like a beast.

nice kick

if it were tomorrow's game, and it was the bama kicker, and it was from 53 yards, id give him a 65% chance of making that. /s relating to prior thread

I'm not going to judge Maxwell over his first start tonight. He should be much better come Oct 20th.

We will still have to play a great game to beat them. With that said though....you can already see on their D that they are missing Worthy already. His ability to jump the snap count made that entire DLine better.

These fools can't go 10 minutes without mentioning Michigan.

Speaks about state's program since their sole reason for playing football is for one game.

It really feels like they're starting to find cracks in the MSU defense. And they looked much better on defense themselves leading up to the field goal. Plus, losing Dennard has to help them, even though it's bad for football in general.

MSU looks good but it is the BIG TEN. There is nothing that seems overpowering or anything that says they will run with the BIG TEN. In my opinion I thought they would have come out stronger.

I have the msu-bsu game on in the background while playing with my 4 yr old daughter. They just showed sparty and she asked, "who's that?". I told her it is sparty spartan. When they cut away, she said, "aww, I wanted to punch him!". That's my girl!

This sparty crowd sounds horrible. Not sure if it is the TV or just the crowd in general. For a newly minted national power against boise you would think the crowd would be on fire.
