Boise lookin' mighty suspect in thier first series. Hope they can get in the groove.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:14 PM ^
by Bell was fairly nasty. Could be a long day for Boise...
August 31st, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
Bells got a little Lagarette Blount in him. Hopefully he tries punching someone before the end of the game, too.

MSU looking awesome from the git go, and last year
MSU kills UM
UM kills Nebraska
Nebraska kills MSU
August 31st, 2012 at 8:18 PM ^
They didn't kill us. It was 21-14 midway through the 4th quarter when we failed to convert a 4th and 1 inside their 10. We got the ball back after that, still only down a score, but threw a pick six.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
Ya they toottaalllyyyy killed us. Fuckin jackwagon
August 31st, 2012 at 8:22 PM ^
correct it with "MSU beats UM" (again)
Not bagging on anyone, just commenting on how strange the dynamic is among conference rivals.
I predict a 3 team dogfight this year for Leaders, and MSU certainly living up to preseason hype so far.
Should be an entertaining B1G season. May the best team win.

Drugs are bad m'kay. Typical sparty revisionist history. You are ignoring 60 minutes of the refs looking the other way as sparty committed one thug act over another.
August 31st, 2012 at 9:35 PM ^
Is not a Spartan fan.
August 31st, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
good catch!
August 31st, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
Boise is a in 4-2-5, I suddenly see the root of their problem on defense. With only two LBs there, MSU is just blasting massive lanes in the middle. Go pull the box safety and get yourself an extra SAM in there.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
Agree - I don't understand playing nickel against what is clearly a run-first offense.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Yeah, the Boise DC was staying in nickel despite facing both a TE and a FB. If he doesn't wise up, this is going to be over by halftime and midway through the 4th, Sparty's mascot is gonna be putting up Heisman like rushing numbers.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:55 PM ^
Eh, TCU stayed in a 4-2-5 against Wisconsin's MANBALL and that went okay. If they can keep passing lanes clogged and slow down the run enough, they'll be fine.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
That was bad defense by the corner. He didn't use his body at all, just tried to wave his arms around
August 31st, 2012 at 8:15 PM ^
I don't know about this 4-2-5 okie defense.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:16 PM ^
Sims is just a big boy. Does Boise even have anyone as tall as him?
August 31st, 2012 at 8:17 PM ^
That fat ass is going to be Maxwell's safety blanket all season.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:18 PM ^
TD Sparty, 7-0, 7:47 left
August 31st, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
Did you see the size of that guy trying to come up and stop the MSU RB? It's goal line and freaking Boise is counting on a DB to come up and club the RB in the hole. Did Boise hire GERG or a beaver recently?
August 31st, 2012 at 8:22 PM ^
They might have hired Shafer. Wasn't he a fan of the 4-2-5?
August 31st, 2012 at 8:18 PM ^
That was a demoralizing drive. LeVeon Bell looked great (as he did last year). For all the talk of Boise's power...
August 31st, 2012 at 8:19 PM ^
Boise looks like they've replaced a whole team...
Oh.. Wait
August 31st, 2012 at 8:22 PM ^
Wow that was quick.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:25 PM ^
anywhere
August 31st, 2012 at 8:20 PM ^
What's up with the weird black square on MSU 's jerseys? It looks like a huge amount of sweat.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
I believe. Always thought it looked bad.
August 31st, 2012 at 9:27 PM ^
That's because it is a huge amount of sweat...
August 31st, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Southwick looks overwhelmed.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
LT looks overwhelmed too. Tom is absolutely killing him.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
I'm thinking they put in Northwick in the second half.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
Ahhh. Little bro had to get him some new video boards, too...
August 31st, 2012 at 8:28 PM ^
They put ads on their video board.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
This game is developing like I expected it to. Boise is overmatched physically.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:24 PM ^
That LT for Boise is just so bad. Gholston is decent, but against this guy he's looking like the greatest DE alive
August 31st, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
That's definitely a bad spot. He may have gotten the first down. They should have reviewed that.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:27 PM ^
Bad spot but he was still short a half yard.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
Damn, this UT/NC State is heating up. UT scores on a 72 yard bomb and follows that up with a safety.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:30 PM ^
Damn, UT scores again. Patterson with 129 all purpose yards and two TD's at the end of the first. That kid has some wheels.
August 31st, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
Not bad first his first game as a Vol.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
That punt couldn't have been placed in a worse location given how they set that coverage up. Boise is clearly not clicking right now.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:27 PM ^
One thing is pretty clear.....this is no where near the boise of yesteryear (which happens to be the last 5 or 6 yrs)
You can only strike on lower rated kids so many times before the law of average's catches up to you.
August 31st, 2012 at 9:00 PM ^
Or you have a system the relies on experience and have your first game in a tough environment after replacing a ton of starters.......
Boise has a good program, having a hard timein thus game doesn't invalidate what they've done. I have never understood the bizarre hard-on people have for trying to point out why BSU isn't legit.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:28 PM ^
Tennessee should move to the ACC hahaha
August 31st, 2012 at 8:29 PM ^
They are 0-3 vs the last 3 ACC teams they faced, so maybe they should join the sunbelt.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:35 PM ^
I hate Tennessee, so if NC State comes back and wins this game, I will laugh the night away.
August 31st, 2012 at 8:29 PM ^
What a gift of a pick...
August 31st, 2012 at 8:29 PM ^
HELL YES!!
