They don't have a good defense and haven't had one for nearly three years. Wisky looks bad too....all those 2 and 3 star recruits are showing their worth.

If I understand things correctly, the only outcome that unambiguously helps our BCS situation in the B1G championship game is a BLOWOUT. Right? Because rooting for Wiscy the first quarter and now rooting for Sparty is making me feel like a deathly ill syphilic and hepatitis-ridden whore who is stll turning tricks, despite a phlegmy and foul cough.

I broke out a bottle of veuve clicquot ponsardin when it looked like blowout.  Now it doesnt even taste good.  I think I dump it in the yard for the dog to lick.

To double-screen the golf tournament from California.  Tiger is leading Zach Johnson.

I knew Fox would be terrible; any college game on Fox is just a mistake.  I had forgotten just how spectacularly terrible it could be, with GUS JOHNSON (and is it Charles Davis?) doing the play-by-play.  Thank goodness he's gone to Fox, or whatever it is he does now.

Gus Johnson is to announcing what Fox is to college football.

Why does no one even acknowledge that Ok. State is playing for a national title shot?  Or at least that they should be?  Zero mention of it from the crew calling the game.  Just a bunch of "trying to make a BCS bowl" nonsense.

When did everyone just concede an unprecedented rematch between two teams from the same conference?  Why on earth does anyone think Bama is more deserving than Ok State, much less think they are so superior that only an SEC team (make that two SEC teams) deserves to play for the title?  Why does LSU have to beat these ass-hats twice?

Alabama has beaten 10-2 Arkansas, 9-3 Penn State (who sucks, by the way), and 7-5 Auburn.  That is it as far as teams with a winning record goes.

Ok. State has beaten 10-2 K-State, 9-3 Baylor, 7-5 Missouri, 7-5 Texas, 8-4 ULL, 8-4 Tulsa AND they are kicking the shit out of 9-3 Oklahoma.  They didn't play a 1-AA team like Bama did in freaking November (Georgia Southern).  They didn't already get a shot against the other team in the title game on their home field.

ESPN and CBS can eat a dick.  This coverage and this fiasco (if it comes to pass) are completely ridiculous.

OSU and Michigan are the two best teams in the college football and it's not even close. If you can't see that you don't understand football very well. Michigan will play in the NC and it would be an illegitimate championship game if they didn't.

That's interesting since OSU was blown out by Florida in the national championship. Mich and OSU were clearly not the two best teams that year, and as a Michigan fan I was against a rematch then. Some objectivity would serve you well.

No one knew that till they got to play teams outside their conference. You have no idea if they won because they beat other good teams or bad teams till they play each other.  To say you "know" Bama is the second best team, when their best out of conference win was Penn State, and not as impressively as Wisconsin even, is stupid.  Bama lost, at home to LSU. It's not even fair to LSU to have to play them again.  You "think" they're the best teams. But most people thought Michigan and Ohio State were in 2006.  And Florida and USC got a chance to prove them wrong. Okie State deserves as much of a chance. As does TCU.

It's not as if Okie State's competition has been so impressive. The only team there I'd worry about playing is OU. And the Sooners, it turns out, kind of suck.

If the longest MGoBlog thread ever was on a MSU-Wisconsin game ('cause let's face it, it's not BYU-Hawaii getting the posts).

In all honesty, he's a mercenary Wisconsin signed to play QB. He has no ties to the school. He didn't go there for four years. He's just there, just because. A guy like that, it doesn't matter if he goes to the Rose Bowl or not.
