I don't think any Big 10 team can make a case this year. It's a down year this year.

I'd prefer a 16 team playoff. It's really hard to complain about being left out and it gives room for a top team to have some weird problem derail part of their season.

Also, true home games for any playoff. No way are 80+ thousand seats being sold in the Rose, Sugar, and Fiesta, and Orange Bowl in 4-5 weeks. It's too much travel for all but the most extreme fans.

There's a chance a 3 loss Baylor team could jump us but Houston and GA will drop below us. I think it's a bunch BS that the computers have the leftovers of the old big 12 conference rated so high.

The only things I'm concerned about is a close MSU vs WI score where spraty loses but some how knocks us down to 15 by only dropping to 14 and a close OU loss where a another 3 loss big 12 team may be ranked ahead, and the computer doesn't knock Houston down as far as they should fall and some how they get ranked ahead of us. But I'm banking on a 80 percent chance that we are in the Sugar!

Gary Danielson thinks the problem with the current BCS system is that it isn't fair to the SEC. He suggests a six-team playoff instead of a single championship game, with all six teams selected from the SEC.

(The first part of this isn't sarcasm.)

It is now 8PM eastern time.  Here is where I see Michigan's BCS chances:

- Michigan moves ahead of Georgia

- Michigan moves ahead of Houston

- Baylor moves ahead of Michigan

Michigan has moved up one spot in the BCS right now.  Michigan must move ahead of the MSU/UW loser, or move ahead of Oklahoma (assuming Oklahome loses to Ok.State.) to get into the top 14 BCS, and thus earn a BCS game.

I've read a few times on different threads that after all the hooplah from today, it would be better for us to now have Oklahoma beat OK St. I'm assuming that's not true, but was hoping to get some verification so that I know who to root for since it will make such a big impact to who wins the game (/s, but seriously, who do we want to win?? Same goes for Clemson/VA Tech).

Would you guys consider our BCS ticket punched now that Georgia got destroyed?

Georgia and Houston got destroyed.  Both teams in the BTCG are ahead of us, so one will fall below.

Swazi, I definitely DO NOT consider Michigan's ticket punched for the Sugar Bowl.  Not yet...

Baylor may move ahead of Michigan.  Michigan may not move ahead of Houston.

I think the only team Michigan has definitely moved ahead of at this point is Georgia.  If this is true, Michigan needs to move ahead of either the MSU/UW loser, or move ahead of Oklahoma, if Oklahoma loses to Ok.State.

Right now, Michigan fans are rooting for MSU to win, or UW to blow-out MSU.  Michigan fans are also rooting for Oklahoma State to defeat Oklahoma (preferably by a wide margin.)

Home games are the way to go. Head to head matchup could be first and BCS standings second. Guarantee a sellout and interest. There really isn't a great spot to have the game in the Big 10 footprint outside of Chicago--and there isn't a good college football team in Chicago.

Alright, does that announcer really intend to talk in the cheesy voice the whole time? And continually drop leaders and legends puns?
