Colie Sappingfield had a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead the Mochigan Softball team to victory against Bowling Green 12-2. She finished the day 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 5 RBIs. What a wonderful day for Colie. She has been struggling of late that this is just what the Doctor ordered for her. Colie is not known for hitting home runs.
Sara Driesenga played one of her best games today against BGSU. She was in the circle today and received the win. She pitched all 7 innings. She gave up 2 runs (1 ER) on 3 hits. She walked 4 and struck out 4.
Sara was also a leader at the plate. She went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Chiddy also went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Lindsay Doyle went 2 for 2 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.
Overall we ended up with 13 hits on the day. We had 1 error as well. This game is certainly needed for a confidence booster. Bowling Green is not a Top 10 team, but a win is a win.
Great Job ladies. Keep up the good work. Awesome Job today Sara. We knew you could do it and we support you 100%.

BGSU isn't a great team, but they'll take advantage of any errors and were decent at the plate when I saw them play. Only letting up three hits is a good days work against them.
