Hate Colorado slightly less after reading this...but only slightly.  Don't they have a Harbaugh assistant coach there from the 49er days?  Defensive guy or something I can't remember and don't feel like googling

I'm more worried than I probably should be for this game. Part of me wants to dismiss the near 300 rushing yards of UCF as fluke or the staff not showing their hand. Macintyre is a good coach and I think Colorado is very much an up and coming squad.

Maybe I still haven't gotten all the way over the hoke era

You're clearly not over the RR/Hoke years. I understand, it took me almost all of last season to get over it.

This staff is oustanding in their playcalling/gameplanning and they actually make adjustments when need be. I don't see this as a systemic problem to worry about (if it happens over and over again then maybe but right now, no).

It was more than likely a fluke, kinks need to be worked out in a new system, and this staff will absolutely notice what went wrong and correct it going forward. Not to mention missing two starters on the DL hurts not only the talent level of the starting unit but the depth as well. Harbaugh has done far more with far less, and so has Don Brown. Everything will be fine.

the Carr/Hoke/RR eras. The only game that worries me this year is osu.

msu is hot garbage, ND is going in dry this weekend to remove any doubt of that. Iowa and Wisconsin may have good D but their O plays right into our D strengths. Indiana may score a few points but it won't be NEAR as many as our O scores. psu is a dumpster fire that will probably get blown out worse than CU this weekend.

Remember, though, that CU hired Dan Hawkins away from Boise State when he was considered THE hot coach.  After struggling in Boulder and forcing his son Cody into the starting QB role, many began to wonder if Chris Peterson was the real genius up at Boise all those years and with Hawkins now being relegated to the Canadian League and a stint coaching in Austria(?), there was some concern that MacIntyre was also smoke and mirrors.

He has turned out pretty well and built a staff around him whereas Hawkins was an egomaniac who listened to nobody.
