MSU up to 11th.
what time are the BCS rankings released?
I think tonight is when the first BCS rankings should come out on ESPN I believe.
8:15pm it seems. Thanks
I'm surprised, but I'll take it. I hope we can stay in - Iowa is probably our toughest opponent before OSU.
Typical MSM headline:
I don't think we should be worried about rankings right now. Let's worry about Iowa.
Even if we were BCS contenders this year worrying about the rankings this early would be a waste of time and energy. Given this year (even with a win yesterday) I could care less until the end of the season.
Why would I worry about Iowa? My thoughts on the iowa game will have zero impact on the outcome of the actual game. Much like my thoughts on the polls will have zero impact on how the polls turn out. Therefore I'll think and talk about whatever I please, and I'm confident everyone else on here will do the same. If one wants to talk about the Iowa game, there's threads for that as well, no one made you click on this one.
Anywhere from 24-26 sounds about right to me. Although our defense has been exposed over and over again, we still have one of the most high powered offenses in the country. It's a 5-1 team, and their only loss is to a team with 2 victories over ranked opponents.
some1 didn't get laid last night.
Mlive needs your input back there. If one says something stupid, I'm going to call it stupid. Jumping into threads just to say no one should be commenting on that thread is just plain stupid.
I do not want to see an OSU/Oregon championship. We already knows what would happen. I was hoping Bama would stay undefeated and take it to the buckeyes.
How do we "know" what will happen? I think Oregon is better on both sides of the ball this year than in 2009. But anyway, I wouldn't assume OSU is going there.
Like last year, I feel the game will be @ Vest's pace and it will be a grind it out game. We'll see if Darron Thomas comes back healthy. Worst yet, OSU would draw Boise St. The way the top 5 is set up, Bama is going to need some help from the pollsters to get back to #2.
Oregon needs to stay healthy for them to continue to roll like they have. The health of this team seems to deteriorate towards the end of the season.
OSU - MSU championship game. It could actually happen. They don't play each other and could theoretically both be undefeated while the other major teams have a loss.
If that happened, I would root for an earthquake that opens up the ground and swallows the stadium at kickoff. A small meteor would be OK as well. Maybe both.
Whatever the new polling system turns out to be, I hope it punishes teams who have weak ass schedules.
I would pray that the BCS committee would blatantly tamper the polls so that two Big Ten teams don't play for the Title (unless its M). Who the F would want to watch that atrocity. Sparty does have a shot at the rose bowl.
Judging by your history of calling out people for what you perceive to be stupid, doesn't look last night was the first of its kind for you.
Anyway, I never said that people shouldn't post on this thread. I was just stating my OPINION that worrying about where we stand in polls should not be the highest of our concerns right now, given yesterday's abysmal performance. Sure, people will disagree, and I respect that....heck, that's what a blog is for!! Perhaps you read too far into my post amigo, but I'm not trying to impose Kim Jung Il-esque censorship here.
I'm sure you're the kind that can't resist to have the last word, so your turn...
that was supposed to be a reply to Sum1
Scary scenario if MSU goes undefeated.
You guys are forgetting Nebraska who looks like a very solid team and looks like they could go undefeated
