Coaches Hot Seat Blog 2014: Brady Hoke Edition, Sept 22

Submitted by markusr2007 on

For those of you who hate Mondays as it is. don't click here.

I did, and now I feel worse than I did before.

Except that Hoke is No. 9 on the list, somehow below Dana Holgorson and Norm Chow. So that's a good thing, right? Errr....maybe not.....Goddammit!

Who wrote this but every single player on Michigan's roster would beat the ever living shit out of this clown. It is one thing to attack a coach doing a shit ass job but to say the players aren't "man enough" should come with an ass beating.

Outside of never going to happen longshots like kevin sumlin or a harbaugh I wonder if anyone else is interested in trying to hire dan mullen from mississippi state.  He is still pretty young at 42, has pulled in a few top 25 ranked classes while at msu, has a long list of successfull quarterbacks and will probably be coming off a successful year this year meaning he would come with not only something new but actual legitimate excitement.  That  might be my realistic dream hire assuming this season plays out like we expect it to.  Only downside is there is a good chance the florida job is available this year too and he is a former florida oc so he would probably pick them over michigan.

I wouldn't mind Mullen but he wouldn't be my first choice. I also don't think Florida will be considered an automatic better job. Its easier to win in the B10 and their is less competition for in-state recruits. Florida State is the new big dog down there and i don't think they are gonna be giving that up anytime soon.

Currently he is in a state where he has to fight in state with a bigger rival (Ole Miss) and he plays Alabama, Auburn, and LSU every year. The first two have played for a national championship every game since W was in the White House. All three have earned national championships (6 in the last 10 years). He is basically fighting for fourth in the division in any given year.

I see him going to Michigan for the same reason Saban went to LSU.

That blog is some of the worst writing I have ever seen in my life.  It's like an algorithm that combines the worst posts on the MGoBoard and applies them to college football as a whole.

I cannot imagine a scenario where he can succeed now.

Examples where it's just too big a job for him (I'm sure you have your own):

1.  Blown time out not called against Penn State last year ad play clock runs out on Devin,

2.  Keeps Oline coach - Shut the front door on that one.

3.  10 guys on the punt coverage,

4.  Refuses to wear a headset,

5.  and now the pressure is too much for him emotionally - see Mattison argument.

6.....  It's time to stop kidding ourselves.

Dave Brandon needs to pull a Mal Moore and fly to San Francisco or Baltimore and get a commitment from a Harbaugh to be our next coach.  Period.  My personal preference is Jim Harbaugh because I would love to see Jim slap Urban Liar on the back at the post game handshake.  I would love it!!!
