Coach Harbaugh will be spending the bye week in Antioch, CA to recruit #1 player Najee Harris

Submitted by Maizen on

Harris enters Friday night’s game with 1,074 yards rushing at the regular season’s halfway point, leaving him 134 from breaking Jahvid Best’s all-time Bay Area record of 6,379. (Best played at Salesian-Richmond in 2004-06.)

Next week, when Antioch hosts Liberty, another wrinkle comes into play: Harbaugh, the Michigan head coach, is planning to attend the game, hoping he can persuade Harris to flip his verbal commitment to Alabama and play in Ann Arbor instead.

Breaking: Najee Harris not 100% set on Bama

“I’m going to take my five visits, but I just don’t know where,” Harris said. “Let’s say this: My mind isn’t set on Alabama. I’m not 100 percent set on Alabama. I’m trying to see what else is out there for me. I’m using my visits to see. As much attention as I’ve gotten, I feel like I have helped my teammates get some offers, too.”

Here's hoping he climbs a tree, races Najee down the street, and then goes to class with him and raises his hand to answer every question the teacher asks.

It's just some stock image white woman I found, which I suppose is odd, being Korean and all. I think she's supposed to be a dental hygienist or something. After all you need nice chompers to eat the steak and milk is your ally in that campaign, whole milk.

Najee Harris seems like he enjoys his privacy when it comes to recruiting. Hoping he can have a quiet relationship with Harbaugh and company and is not hounded by overzealous followers from Michigan or other schools.

We are all set.  I just went to Najee's house and asked him to commit to Michigan and promptly followed that up with a tweet to his entire family asking him to join.  His commitment is all locked up.  You can thank me later.

Well like I was telling the great Jeff09 earlier this week, it's important we mock Najee on this blog (and Hell, why not on MLive or whatever other M related sites people here visit).

We want to be sure he knows we're cool, and if he "just visits" again we should def let him know he'll ultimately be flippin'...

THAT, my friends, is how you appeal to teenagers' innate sense of perspective and broad world view!

/JK - Najee, AA is SO much cooler than Tuscaloosa man. You'll dig it the most! Go Blue!!!!!!

It's now to the point that I just want Harris to flip to give the finger to Bama and the rest of the college football world and continue the #HARBAUGH hype...MORE than I want them #1 player in the country.

That makes NO sense. It should always be about football. I can't believe I'm even admitting that.

But this feels like Harbaugh vs. The World...and I'm always with Harbaugh.

. . . hear the monotone voice of Alabama head coach Nick Saban or the lively pitch of Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh.

Well, we know who the SF Chronicle likes in this contest.

We *could* pull that OSU couldn't. Big, ridiculous power back. Put this guy behind some of OL recruits we're on and we can stuff it down anyone's throat.

You misunderstood. These super high level power backs are going to want to play in a pro style offense. Weber not a power back, at least not like Harris. Weber is what, 5'9? He has good lateral agility and can side step people in the hole. Harris is an upright, one cut runner who'll lower his shoulder on you. Completely different players.

Fournette, and maybe mark ingram, who was a 3 4 star guy, henry? Maybe.. I hate ohio state and urban as much as the next guy. But, give him his due. He has an offense that will adapt to whatever talent he brings in(unless its last years msu tape.. just burn that..). Id rather have dalvin cook, mc caffrey, ezekiel elliott, or a ton of other non bashers if we could get them. Shoot, id take lj scott on the team yesterday, jordan howard from last yr indiana too.. Get the best talent and use it properly. Thats what harbaugh and any good coach is looking to do. Theres a reason leonard fournette's and ty wheatley's are once in a generation players.. Btw, im totally disagreeing on your harris assesment as a college and pro prospect and thats not even what im arguing. I think that his tape is nowhere near fournette. Its far more jabrill. Same level of player, but i don't see him going fournette and trucking college or nfl players. He looks like far more of an agility and instinct guy, than jim brown 4.0. more barry sanders v .97
