I'm sure the coach wishes this was just a private thing. I know Coach Hoke and others do and did the same stuff. But this is always great to read about. When I think of Coach Harbaugh, my memory of him extends from the time when he was just a kid in Ann Arbor getting excited on the Wolverines sideline and sitting in the old coach's chair. I imagine when he sees a kid battling with cancer, his memory takes him back to his own childhood and how he was blessed to grow up in a great town and caring environment. In any case, good luck to this young man in his cancer fight.

"I want you to have my hat, my whistle and my shirt. And I want you to come to a game in Ann Arbor this fall. Pick a game, any game you want. We have eight home games. You just keep fighting and smiling, and the good Lord will taking a liking to you, buddy. Come see us in Ann Arbor, and I look very forward to meeting you.”

It would be awesome to see this kid make it to Ann Arbor for a game so he can meet Jim Harbaugh personally.

As always, fuck cancer in all its forms.

Attended the Springfield satelite camp yesterday and saw Harbaugh put on the shirt halfway through the event.  Our initial thought was the shirt represented Springfield High School.  I appreciate the fact he did this for the 6 year old boy.  He sported the shirt the rest of the camp.  This is another example of Jim showing that he really cares about kids and not what the media portrays him to be.
