Coach Harbaugh got stopped by TMZ at the airport
January 13th, 2016 at 4:59 PM ^
It's funny because at first you can see in Harbaugh's expression that he's asking himself "Who the fuck is this guy" and thinking "Oh hell, if he's press I got to act like I give a shit about the questions he's asking". But then something remarkable happens, and he actually gives pretty good, honest answers to the lame questions he's being asked. The whole thing is awkward though, but of course it is because it's TMZ.

Since one of the placards behind him points to the Library of Congress, but no matter.
Love how he handles the paparazzi in-stride - doesn't want to bash the Niners or say something that may be construed as violating recruiting rules.
Seems like Sarah is clearly annoyed though.

Harbaugh is in the underground network of hallways that connects the U.S. Capitol to the Library of Congress, the House office buildings, and the Senate office buildings. (The State of the Union is held in the House chamber in the U.S. Capitol; the House and Senate office buildings are separate structures from the actual Capitol).

He's rewriting our football story, so the LOC seems apropos.

you rang?
January 13th, 2016 at 8:57 PM ^
Seemed odd that they were walking with Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, a fairly liberal Democrat, when it was Congressman Justin Amash, probably as non-liberal as you can imagine, that supplied the tickets to the speech. Then again Ann Arbor is in Dingell's district..
January 13th, 2016 at 9:24 PM ^
This is incorrect. Dingell supplied 1 ticket, Amash supplied the other.

Yeah, it was pretty clear he was just telling this jagoff from TMZ what he wanted to hear. Harbaugh knows the score.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:04 PM ^
Christ, their reporters suck.

Flawless responses, mate.

TMZ is just terrible. I'm surprised it's still a thing.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:11 PM ^
Some people are terrible, too. I'm not surprised.

TMZ is the sweat-poop-mucuous mixture one finds on their blass after running a 10k in South America...
January 13th, 2016 at 5:10 PM ^
It's crazy what I find on my blass.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:17 PM ^
Dude, you NEVER actually LOOK. You just wash thoroughly, and put it all behind you...

It should be legal to beat the piss out of any TMZ "reporter," just on general principle.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:10 PM ^
Harbaugh is most likely the coolest person in the world, but being married to him has to be difficult.
Guarantee Sarah can hack it with the boys. I bet she's the type of woman who prefers a glass of vino, but can throw down some PBRs when the guys are over.
January 13th, 2016 at 7:50 PM ^
My guess would be that she can throw down a glass of bourbon on the rocks with the boys.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:11 PM ^
I will say, Harbaugh is very professional, and knows his stuff. Obviously, it is wise to steer completely clear of anything with San Francisco. That's a cesspool it is better to avoid wading into.
And as regards Nordin, he did a great job of slightly acknowledging, while stating clearly that it is a violation of rules to discuss any particular recruits publicly.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:17 PM ^
Great job by Coach right there.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:19 PM ^
You could tell he kind of looked amused when he realized the guy was asking about Nordin and not Gary.
January 13th, 2016 at 5:20 PM ^
Remember when Brady Hoke was our head football coach? That sucked.

great coach at a great university and a really gorgeous wife, he's done well for himself.
January 13th, 2016 at 6:15 PM ^
Is it normal for a TMZ "reporter" to just walk and up start hammering questions without prompt? That seemed awful, I'm annoyed I gave them ad revenue to watch that.
January 13th, 2016 at 7:31 PM ^
I'm pretty sure that's their model

If I had a wife like Sarah Harbaugh I would have enthusiasm uknown to mankind also..... yes that sounds totally creepy, and I am okay with that.
January 13th, 2016 at 7:24 PM ^
Maybe if someone has an enthusiasm unknown to mankind, they'd have an attractive wife.

It kinda seemed like JH didn't realize what TMZ is, and perhaps mistakenly believed that people actually to talk to those dickwads like normal reporters.
January 13th, 2016 at 11:58 PM ^
and he handled it exceptionally well. It was a great interview. He did't get mad or sarcastic, answered the questions and actually looked amused. Wife did not, but he kept her from being hassled.
January 13th, 2016 at 6:31 PM ^
Is JH was interviewed by ESPN, which is no biggie, he's done that before
January 13th, 2016 at 6:54 PM ^
No khakis?
January 13th, 2016 at 7:03 PM ^
i get the sense this "reporter" had no idea who Harbaugh was 10 minutes beforehand and googled him on his phone to prep for the interview. ("Hmm . . . used to coach the 49ers, and is recruiting a kicker. OK, got all I need.")
January 13th, 2016 at 8:30 PM ^
...heck was wrong with this? Coach Harbaugh and his beautiful wife smiling and enjoying themselves after seeing the potus.
