With the recruiting dead period ending last night, Coach Harbaugh tweeted this today at 6:44am...

It will be rather difficult getting used to a work week which now proceeds as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ......., Friday

I will definitely make the adjustment for the good of the team, of course.

Harbaugh has just the right amount of crazy coupled with unbridled passion for winning. It's the perfect combination for a CFB coach. After a TD, you don't know if your coach is going to slap you on your ass, or pick you up and give you a piggy back ride..

Is it possible to measure the actual increase in productivity in Ann Arbor today? The amount of energy this guy carries around with him is unreal.

I read this quote first thing this morning.  Coach Harbaugh inspired me to attack the day, so I put in my contacts with an enthusiasm previously unknown to mankind.  I now have an appointment with my opthomologist tomorrow.  Lesson learned.

Does anyone have video of the pep talk he gave the basketball team prior to the 1989 NCAA regional final vs Virginia? (Wolverine Historian, I am looking at you)

I remember seeing it on TV right before the game but I've never been able to find it on YouTube.  Made me feel like I could have suited up and scored 25 - all 6'1" and 156 lbs of my slow, unskilled, non-athletic self.

Michigan went on to score 102 and win by 37.

it was mentioned on the rivals board that this was a quote from none other than his Papa, Jack Harbaugh.

So, although not a Jim original, the quote still motivates. God, can we just be playing football again?

I don't give a shit about all that stuff. Talk is cheap, as we learned from the last four years.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results on the field next fall. The improvement will be notable from the first game on.

Who's got it better than us???

Side note: I think of Harbaugh like Dwight Schrute. Ruthlessly efficient, a little crazy, damn good at his job, even if not everyone likes the methods.

At first I wondered why I don't have that kind of energy and enthusiasm before going into work.  Then I realized I'm not making $5million /year, so that kind of explains why I don't :)
