Coach Bobby WIlliams Visits Warren DeLaSalle Today

Submitted by razor93 on

From reliable sources coach Bobby Williams of Alabama visited Warren DeLaSalle.  Not sure who he was there to see or speak to, but one can deduce it might have something to do with some left handed quarterback you may have heard of.  I seriously doubt anything will come from it, but still interesting that Alabama is sending coaches.

are tireless and relentless----so just as they exert max efforts to sign other recruits they will exert the same effort even in a "lost" cause

Saban is just attempting the mother of all flips.

Won't happen, but I applaud his relentlessness.  He's probably doing the same with 10 other 5* players and if he gets just one, it was worth the effort.

Taco just tweeted that it is crazy that he is now hearing from Alabama and Cal and other far away schools.  Get ready for a steady stream of this for the next 10 months.

Bama may be trying to send some sort of message to the Michigan coaches.  Why waste the time and money on coming up to see a player they have no chance of flipping?  It seems pretty clear there are no other players at De La Salle that would warrant an Alabama offer.  Maybe our coaches have been going after an Alabama commit???  Would love to hear RollTide's take on this

EDIT:  Sorry, just saw RollTide's post above that I missed.

they're scouting trips. All the elite teams know they will be facing Michigan in a post season game in a few years, so they're getting a jump start on scouting Michigan's future stars. You really can't blame them for planning ahead.

I can just see Sugar Shane telling Bobby to go pound sand and outwardly scoffing at the mere suggestion that he would ever even entertain for a second the possibility of going Crimson.

And then as those knuckleheads continue to recruit the rest of our prized class, Shane's example will only foster greater camaraderie and brotherhood as they collectively disdain and mock the foolishness of Nick.

Alabama?  Please.

Just the thought of Bobby Williams wandering around the country looking for his lost team cracks me up.

Especially with the recent news of John L. taking the Arkansas job, I was kind of wondering what Williams was up to recently too.

Are we even sure it the special teams coach from Alabama and not the head coach of Arkansas?  Both are Bobby Williams.  Both are meh!

Remember that hilarious angry pout that Booby Williams would get on his face whenever his team got a penalty?  That's what he's going to look like at the end of the day today when he goes home empty handed.

by signing day in 2013, but it won't be Morris. It's not even worth pondering. He's as much of a UM lock as any kid in the class.

And I have to question Saban's judgement in sending a clown like Williams in the first place.

"Alabama came into school today to see me and I told my coach I don't want to talk to other schools..So my coach told him leave a card..Hahaa"

Hilarious. That's all I have to say

Nick probably spends the better part of $1000-$1500 for flight, hotel, rental car, meals and Shane totally blows him off, doesn't even take the time to see him.

We're talkin' Alabama, the defending National Champions.

ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KIDDING ME!!!

That demonstrates passion right up there with Coach Hoke never wearing red all those years.

What an example of loyalty for our other young Michigan Men to follow.  These guys truly bleed BLUE.  They'll be joking about that in the locker room and on the practice field for the next 5 years; heck, even after Shane goes pro.

Gotta love it.
