Leilon "is Willing" Willingham ,...COME ON DOWN !
Is CO LB Leilon Willingham Next?
but well done sir, well done indeed
I would love to have Willingham and open up a pipeline to Mullen High in Denver. They have back to back state championships and are always nationally ranked. They have a highly rated QB for next year's class named Cyler Miles.
do some scouting for us next year, tell us if the rivals ratings are correct
so not like we havent been there before. Think he was in that last lloyd class that RR finished.
That'd be awesome, I think Willingham is def Blue...Why else would he be committed to TaM , never visit, cancel his only visit there, and toto A2 instead? He'd be a major bonus...Ive only seen and heard things about 2012 defensive recruits and how stacked Midwest is so far...I'm def excited about next yrs class
Name seems a little too close to Miley Cyrus for my taste. However, if he can throw a football to a receiver's chest and not 5 feet behind him or over his head I guess I can let it slide.
Would Nate Montana consider transferring just to make this work? We don't have to play him, he can just velcro denard's shoes up before he takes the field.
namesakes all wrapped up
Hoke has done well so far to try and salvage this class. If he can snake oil (too soon?) a few more prospects then this calss could be a success.
Is an awesome phrase. Danny Hope brought it back. Brady Hoke was presented a winged wizard hat by Dave Brandon to become the lastest in a long line of snake oil salesman. Dating back to Fielding Yost.
Speaking of Danny Hope.....does Purdue still have a team? Are they participating in recruiting? I haven't heard one peep about the Boilermakers since we played them.
I think we should retire the snake oil term. Not current.
I think we have 17 recruits practically in the bag. That in itself is a real success considering we're were sitting at 10 a few days ago and coach Hoke had 2 weeks to work with. I think hauling in 19 may not be out of the question and a real coup in my opnion.
us get 17-19 commits at tops then take in the motherload of talent next year
It's starting to look like this class if going to fill up, which is great.
14 commits right now.
There are 3 kids on campus now (according to TomVH visit list) that we have a great shot with: Willingham, McClure, and Clark plus we have a great shot at landing Chris Bryant and Thomas Rawls.
Not to mention we could still end up with Fisher.
If Hoke doesn't call Hakeem Flowers today, it could be that he's expecting to fill this class up with prospects at other positions.
I think most people were saying a few days ago that it would be a success for Hoke to get 15 kids in this class.
Hoke is exceeding expectations already...it would be an unbelievable acheivement if he fills out this class.
Please. Please. Please. And Please. C'mon!
Scout no longer has him commited to A&M as even a soft verbal, fwiw. I wonder what the circumstances are that he commited under. It's pretty strange.
Him and Kellen Jones side-by-side would be formidable a few years down the road.
Agreed, this has been an awesome weekend already, Go Hoke, Go Blue!
apparently because one of his lifelong and closest friends from Denver, Mister Jones, was a RS frosh there this year and has been working on Willingham since he went to College Station.
Requisite Counting Crows reference: "Mister Jones and me ... want to be big stars."
since the Illinois game. Come one Brady keep them coming.
I am just trying to have fun for one night here after 3 years of misery. If YOU have a problem with my posts just say so. Otherwise you know what to do.
Yes. To Bolivia you go.
This would be a great get for the staff. I know that goes without saying but I'm just having so much fun hitting F5 right now! Woo!
Havent's seen anything yet, Has there been an announcement?
He's announcing tomorrow evening.
He is announcing tomorrow night.
Edit: Beat me to it
Announcing tomorrow night.
EDIT: What they said...
Tomorrow around 7:00 PM
I checked Rivals and Mullen has two QBs in the 2012 class that are by Rivals' standards good enough to play Div. 1. How the hell does that work? Quarterback by committee is never a good idea.
~50% of QBs drafted in the first round of the NFL draft are a bust. I suspect the success ratio for 18 year olds is no better than that.
what does that have to do with Mullen having two recruitable QBs? How did they both get enough playing time to be judged as division one recruits?
hope so.Has anybody heard about Stefan McClure visit.GO BLUE!!!
Hope I am wrong, from what it appears McClure is strong with Ucla and Saban & Co. are nosing around on F. Raven.
from who does that appear?
Well, if UCLA is trying to get McClure, the fact that they fired their defensive coordinator and still hasn't filled that position yet is probably good for us.
Well, if he's there with Mattison...I'd say there's a great chance he commits later tonight or tomorrow.
I think you may be right.
Mattison: "Terrell Suggs."
Willingham: "What? what does that have to do with Ray Lew...."
Mattison: "Ed Reed."
Willigham: "Oh...I see what you're doing."
Exactly what I thought when I saw Justice' 'we're not done' tweet..
By the way, when was the last time we got a player from CO? I can't recall a single one..
Greg Banks and Steve Watson.
Also Watson went to Mullen High School, the same one Willingham attends.
I forgot when Byrant is announcing. I thought it was the 23rd a few weeks ago. Did he push it back to the 30th because of the coaching change?
on the 28th
I think he is blue .
fine bit of 'shop
badass Gandalf staff to the fairy princess wand, but that's some amusing MS paint right there (this, from someone who thinks the snake oil and wizzard cracks got tired within matter of a few weeks of the Roundtree committment). Nice cottony collar on that cape.
Good 2 be on the other end of that oil for a change huh?
i did a search on him and found multilple reports of his michigan commitment? is this true? it hasnt been mentioned on mgoblog!!!
A quick search would reveal that he had been discussed quite a bit as far as his status.
Blake committed around Thanksgiving IIRC, then sorta backed off shortly after RR got fired. He is deciding between UM and Penn State as far as I've heard. Blake had in homes from both schools this week and I think he tweeted that he was "torn" after PSU visited. I am not sure if anyone knows if he has a date set to decide. I'd say he's leaning blue, but we'll just have to see. If he does commit and we snag McClure and/or Raven, it'll be one hell of a DB class.
Countess never decomitted.
I love Justice Hayes already and he hasn't played a down yet. He brings so much optimism to the table/fan base. Besides that, he seams like a kid who really wants to be here and wants nothing but the best for Michigan. I love em'
Mattison's talk must not of done it yet tonight. Hopefully he sleeps on it and commits in the morning.
