CNN spent time making fun of Jake Butt. When did TV News become so stupid?
CNN mean to Michigan Player
I suppose a non-story is better than a false story from CNN.
And if they could just get it up to positive non story like a water skiing chipmunk or something, things would be even better.
Seriously though what did they say about him? Just sophomoric ass jokes?
Proud to say that we at Michigan have a very nice butt.
Dial 1-900-Maize-And-Blue and kick them nasty thoughts!
Sounds like you just came up with a new shirt design for the MGoStore.
from the "God kills a kitten" meme. Brilliant.
Touché, or is it tooshie, now I'm confused.
When you go to Butt Town, you got to get down
Butthead? Which one of you is a contributor to this blog?
It is fine when Butt himself jokingly tweeted that he is a tight end. It is not for TV people to say so.
Why have I not seem this until now? Where have I been?
I continue to be sad for Denard. He totally did not want to go to JAX and well....if you've seen them play this year you would understand.
It's been surprising how many links I have seen this week to stories mentioning Jake's name.
I imagine he's had to put up with butt jokes his whole life.
my first name is Max, and I've heard them all from coffee to feminine hygiene product jokes. With a name like Jake's, it's probably been relentless for most of his life.
The feminine hygiene product joke is my permanent nickname, as I'm also named Max.
It's all in good fun and has never bothered me.
wanted me to go into porn, because my last name is Johnson
I was in the stands at a game vs. Iowa, and they announced Mcnutt's name over the PA. A guy in front of me said, "That Mcnutt he's a ballsy player".
I'm sure he's been the butt of many a joke
\I'm not sorry
that's hardcore journalizing
I think that was the most pointless thing I've ever seen. Slow news day for CNN and whatever the other thing was I take it?
To answer your question: August 10, 1974. To explain why would go down a verboten rabbit hole though.
so nobody actually heard it.
All news mediums are rapidly approaching garbage status.
But then new ones emerge, full of promise, only to steadily decline just like the others before.
Maybe CNN should hire someone from Texas -- it's a common name there, and the name of one of the bigger grocery store chains.
I mean, things are so peachy keen in life right?
I watched this live, and in all fairness this clip doesn't show the entire conversation. It wasn't as childish as it seemed, though, admittedly, it was still a immature.
I think this clip does an unfair job truncating the rest of the conversation out.
So glad I blocked CNN from my cable so I don't accidentally flip to it.
That's funny...I did it YEARS ago.
How about that!
CNN used to offer NEWS. Ted Turner is rolling over in his GRAVE.
Someone should inform his wife he died.
Someone should tell his wife they're divorced.
for Ted--or maybe I should say for dead, since I insinuated Ted was above. He's one of America's best-known and most decorated writers.
that just hired Newt Gingrinch...enough said
Unless Newt Gingrich was actually a walk-on who was offsides on his one major football play, no politics.
was a j*ck-off who was offsides on MOST of his plays.
EDIT: Yeah, yeah. But if we can't make fun of Newt Gingrich. . . I mean, we gotta have SOME standards.
These two clowns are about as insightful as a newt.
When did a current Michigan player become off topic? Stop misusing tags.
OT Removed. While it is about Butt, it's really more about CNN and not actually football.
Embrace it. Obviously his parents had the foresight to see that their son would be a great tight end at Michigan and just ran with it.
I played hockey with a kid who had butt as a last name. These kind of jokes became lame when we were 7.
Ha! I laughed.
Fox New is kicking their Ass!
Wait, you can talk about butts on TV?
And it's not even PPV?
His name could be "Phil A."
Big fat meanie CNN people. Grrr.
You mean the same place that initiated the reference to a political movement as tea-baggers (with a girlish giggle from Anderson Cooper, of course) would smash the ethos of journalism upon the rocks of sophomorism? I, for one, am shocked. /s
