Looks like a routine for the kids show "Barney"

From which he was paid $4,000,000 a year. Thanks for taking the money now get the hell out.

Bo would have slammed his headsets down and clipboard more than once.
Did you notice on timeout all the players ignored Hoke?
This is how you coach:

Is that Moeller in the background of the first Bo pic (also yelling?)
October 5th, 2014 at 1:31 AM ^
Are you sure? It looks like Bill McCartney to me.
October 5th, 2014 at 2:51 AM ^
that is not Fred Jackson in the middle. Fred hasn't been around quite that long.
I know, of course, who it is. +1 to the first 'kid' (25 or younger) other than WD who names him.
October 5th, 2014 at 3:29 AM ^
WD knows how to use Google, that is for sure.

on McCartney. Moeller was a little bit more Hoke-ish in appearance.

during the timeout. In one of the preseason Doug Karsch (sp?) videos on MgoBlue, they had Hoke mic'ed up with shots of him walking around to various players clapping away and shouting encouragment. No one, not one player nodded or acknowledged Hoke and in fact, when he got to Gardner, who was stretching with one ear covered by headphones, it appeared that Devin rolled his eyes and turned away slightly. It was pretty obvious from my view. Not that they should have jumped up and down as he walked by, but given the way the team is crumbling at this point, those subtle signs seemed to indicate something was amiss early in the season, particularly b/w Devin and Hoke.

Dream job and he sucks at it. He must know he's all but done
October 4th, 2014 at 11:39 PM ^
Yep me too but it's human nature to pile on, so we get threads like this.
It's funny because when he was 11-2 his first year people weren't up in arms about this stuff.

My thought then (and now) is that I was glad that RichRod's players finally experienced success at the high level they had been striving for and I was sorry that the guy who recruited them wasn't around for it.
I don't think Brady's a bad guy. There are plenty of people who I don't believe are bad people, but unfortunately for them OTHER people have put them in places where they do bad things. And the best thing to happen, for those people and everyone else, is to get them out of those positions as soon as you can to prevent the bad things they do from becoming Even Worse Things over time.

I was also glad that "Lloyd's players" experienced the success that they did during that year.

he was done before this fiasco
October 4th, 2014 at 11:21 PM ^
My wife knows little about the game, but asked me why hoke clapped after Michigan's bad plays. I had no idea.
She also asked why he didn't yell at players and I also did not know why.

He'll be gone soon. At least he has recruited great and the next coach will have a loaded team. I don't wanna hear "the cupboard was bare" excuse ever again.

Can't say that until transfer season is over.

On the 4th picture down I am assuming that is a Chinese takeout menu in his back pocket.

take out menu and he has it on speed dial courtesy of Dave Brandon.

if he instead called Jimmy Johns. Also would spare himself the gastrointestinal distress caused by Dominos.

but i don't think kid shows should be teaching them about 'crank'. i know, today's world it's common place and we give it to kids in pill form, but hey, still think it's not right...

There was a time when we were glad he wasn't Brian Kelly, now that's what we want? He encourages instead of yells. He stays positive even when it's not going our way. He doesn't whine like Bo Pelini. Maybe his is in over his head, and this whole thing was a mistake from the beginning. Fine, but some of the stuff is just uncalled for.

Kelly is an utter douche, but orange slices and fetal spooning is not what we're looking for, either.
October 5th, 2014 at 8:15 AM ^
I'm glad he claps instead of bringing us to national championships, oh wait, no I'm not.

Based on a true story.
October 5th, 2014 at 4:30 AM ^
Last week, I pulled as many of those clappers from Google photos as I could as a joke to bury a friend's email inbox, and stopped at 26 unique pictures b/c I had to get back to work. Later I briefly scanned Google pics of a sampling of other CFB coaches and no one had close to that number of clappers. Coincidence?
October 5th, 2014 at 7:44 AM ^
You gotta include the frazzled clapper pics as well. Those occur when Hoke puts on a headset after the shit has hit the fan. Question, what the hell is he trying to hear?
October 5th, 2014 at 7:57 AM ^
He's clapping the defense on and off!
October 5th, 2014 at 8:13 AM ^
I'm 100% convinced I can clap better than Hoke. Me for coach.
October 5th, 2014 at 11:53 AM ^
But how well can you yell "let's go" and point with one hand and, if called upon, potentially two hands?
