Well done for Fresno declining the penalty as well. Excellent display.

I didn't know Fresno did that. Classy move by Nebraska, even classier by Fresno

Thanks for pointing that out..... I kind of got lost on the initial gesture. Much respect to both teams.

Great Sportsmanship.
Reminds me of a soccer game many years ago in the EPL.
The Goalkeeper was down and obviously injured and unable to compete.
The ball was crossed in to the offensive player and rather than make an attempt on the empty net, the offensive player grabbed the ball out of the air with his hands, stopped play, and went over to try to help the injured goalkeeper.

The replay showed it going from 4th and 4 to 4th and 9. Maybe the tv people got it wrong and they didn't move the yard marker. I hope so. Fresno declining would be a classy move.

Yeah that was dirty as hell along with the dude from USC who stomped on the nuts of some bama player.

And unfortunately, I bet neither one will face further disciplinary action
September 3rd, 2016 at 10:46 PM ^
The best part about that play was that a second or two before that, a USC player was trying to show good sportsmanship and was offering his hand to help that Bama guy up. But before the Bama guy could extend his hand, another USC guy was like "fuck yo sportsmanship!" and then stomped him in the nads.

Awesome, moving gesture by both teams. Its great when people do things to help restore my faith in humanity.
Someone please hack into every device with video in happy valley and have that video play on a continuous loop... Maybe, just maybe, it'll sink in...
Damn suggested word bubbles

Those kids on the team needed that, and I feel for them and the families. These guys have such high potential it's hard to see them go away so young.

This should add to the pagentry that is college football
September 3rd, 2016 at 10:16 PM ^
Missed it and sorry I did. Like some others, I was watching classless stuff like #40 of USC stomping on Minkah Fitzpatrick's nuts.
I'll have to watch ESPN just to see that. Kudos to Nebraska.
On a related note: Wisky's punter changed his number to honor one of his brethren who died in that crash.
September 3rd, 2016 at 10:37 PM ^
#27. Foltz's number.
September 3rd, 2016 at 10:18 PM ^
I had goosebumps watching the video of that. Truly an awesome gesture to Sam Foltz but also to his family by both Nebraska but also Fresno for declining the penalty. It's more than just the wins and losses, it's about the impact the sport has on those who've played and those who are fans.

"Classy" and "Nebraska" tend to go together. Their program and their fans. That is the one addition to the B1G that Ddlaney got right.

Kudos to Rutgers and Maryland as well, because at least they have't built statues, celebrated and commemorated a pedophile enabler

such a low bar to clear . . . and yet PSU continually crawls under it.

I guess it's interesting how people views of this program have changed over time. 20 years ago, I'm not sure anyone would describe Nebraska as "classy." Nebraska was basically Miami without South Beach and Two Live Crew.

Nebraska tributes >>>>>>> Penn state tributes.
September 3rd, 2016 at 11:03 PM ^
Yes, but you need significantly more 's, like you don't have enough digital ink to put an appropriate number of >'s between the two, you'd exceed your devices memory and crash mgoblog.
September 3rd, 2016 at 11:59 PM ^
Oh, I know, any comparison at all is beyond ridiculous.
Just as long as we all understand that Penn state is bad and should feel bad.
