Citrus Bowl, a war of attrition. Rivals says a significant Michigan player is hurt.

Rivals is saying a significant Michigan player is hurt but Harbaugh won't say who.

Well, we're not in the playoff. So were our previous 12 games exhibitions, too? Also, I'm pretty sure that bowl wins (and losses) get attached to a school's/coach's official records. And so do the yards, touchdowns, etc. So...it's not an exhibition game. I guess that's what I'm trying to say. I mean, you're wrong.

And you know it. Regular season games count for something. What do the bowl games count for? They are the NIT of college football. Sure, they count on your record, but NOBODY CARES who wins except for fans of the teams playing. And gamblers.

Bowls have always been exhibition games (even more now with the CFP), unless you were playing in a game with the national title at stake (1998 Rose Bowl).

The only thing I care about is the bowl practices and watching Michigan play another game. Not that excited about winning a trophy with the Buffalo Wild Wings logo on the front.

We have no idea the extent of the injury. From the pics it looked like just his index finger, but if he had to have surgery on it he might not be able to jar it at all. You don't want to risk further injury. My guess is that he will do just that, play defense only with a cast on his hand, but we don't know for sure. There's also a possibility he is being disciplined too, we don't know the full circumstances of how he did it, maybe Harbaugh has suspended him.
