I don't get why this is weird. Tons of people do this.

The day of the game when the team is leaving the hotel, you form a tunnel and cheer them on.

It's just what you do at bowl games.

Some notes on some Citrus Bowl events-

Wednesday, 12/30
Citrus Parade, 11am, Downtown Orlando

Thursday, 12/31
Citrus Bowl Kickoff Luncheon, Noon-1:30 $62/ticket, you get to sit with players
Michigan Pep Rally, 2:30pm, I-Drive 360 8845 International Drive

Friday, 1/1
FanFest, 9am, Tinkler Field at Orlando Citrus Bowl
Tablegate, 10am, Tinkler Field, $88/ticket
Citrus Bowl, 1pm, Go Blue, beat florida

Combined with the the support staff, university administrators, cheerleaders etc and those account for most of the hundreds of Michigan fans in the hotel.

Most people don't put being in the same hotel as the team as their #1 priority, seems a bit creepy.

I don't know...20 people averaging 200 pounds each would make 4000 pounds and technically more than one ton. Then again, this is America and Florida so it may need less then that. Unless you mean a metric ton, in which case that would be a little more difficult.

at the team hotel at the rose bowl in pasadena , so yes, people do that and its fun.  it helps that the football team was our fraternity brothers/friends, but it was fun.  we also might have cost us that game against UCLA in '83 because we kept the team out on new years quite late.   and steve smith was that close to not starting due to an...indiscretion.  oops.

I don't see how this is that creepy. When we went to the Battle 4 Atlantis last week ago were in the same hotel as the teams. One of the best parts of the trip was getting to see the player and coaches in and around the hotel on a daily basis. It only added to the experience.

It's not weird at all and I would stay at the same hotel as the team also - more atmosphere and fun. I jokingly commented earlier without including "/s" - I assumed others were joking also.

I've had a couple friends with middle school aged kids stay at the team hotel in the past. Both said it was a great experience for them and the kids. This is nothing like stalking, it's called being a cool dad.

Please don't do this. 1. Like people say, it's weird 2. Players are already on the edge before the game and they don't need anything else to make them feel uncomfortable 3. I'm 100% sure our coach would appreciate it if you didn't do this. The team hotel is HQ away from home. The last thing they want is for fans to be mingling around outside the meeting rooms.
