Per the headline from Sam Webb at Scout, UM has offered 2012 monster DE Chris Wormley from Toledo.

A friend of mine who follows OSU religiously says that OSU followers are taking it for granted that he will go to M.  He apparently grew up a really big fan and visits the campus/Ann Arbor on his own time.  I'm getting that 3rd hand, so take it for what it's worth...OSU people see him as another Craig Heyward talent-wise.

must be talking to the same peeps as you are because he essentially has said the same thing.  He has even come to some early games as a fan "non visit official or other wise to take in the game with his GF who is also a fan".

Pls others on the board correct me if I'm wrong but, he may be rated the number one recruit in Ohio come his senior year.  SO I suspect tOSU will come after him hard and will have other serious suitors also.

There are a bunch of 4/5 star DE prospects in Ohio next year (Greg McMullen, Adolphus Washington, Sevon Pittman, Wormley, perhaps others).  OSU can't take them all, so it could be a good opportunity for Michigan to get some premier defensive talent.

opened it up According to recruiting sites not to be named Ohio has lower number of schoolies for 2012, but the state has an unusually high (even for Ohio) number of highly regarded prospects comming out.  I look forward to Mich "feasting gorging" on all of that talent.

for posting something that wasn't about the last two games or the coaches.

On the other hand it is about the coaches since they are looking to improve this team through recruiting.  Let's look forward to how great we will be.

What? I thought we offered Wormley a long time ago. I mean, the kid straight up told a reporter "yeah, I'll prolly end up at Michigan.". This kid is a top 50 national recruit, OSU has been on him hardcore, and now we're just offering him? This staff is more incompetent than I thought.

OSU probably offered him illegally (before allowed), but what's another self reported secondary violation to them.  With the team currently being under the watchful eye of the NCAA we couldn't afford to do the same thing.

That's what gets me about the NCAA, something that gives you a recruiting advantage and thus a competitive advantage is minor, but having a QC person help with stretching is major.
