Chris Wormley Interview
Hey guys, I was fortunate enough to talk to Chris Wormley a couple weeks ago and discuss, among other things, who he listens to before the game. Hope you enjoy: Chris Wormley

I know he's a good kid. It's nice that you gave him a chance to answer the work ethic critics.
He's gonna be great!

good added content as we countdown the minutes to NSD.

This quote is very telling...
Tremendous: You say it was an easy commitment and that you've been a lifelong fan. Would you have committed to a Rich Rodriguez-led Michigan?
Chris: Actually, I probably wouldn't have. The contact I had with that coaching staff never really gave me a good vibe.

I thought about originally omitting that quote, but I agree....it kind of a poignant quote in that Wormley would likely be a Buckeye right now if Hoke wasn't coaching. It's just interesting to me.

And it wasn't in a dickish way that he needed to be protected from himself. So there was no reason to leave if out.

<br>There was nothing wrong with you printing that he likes Adele either.

Why would you omit that quote? You're doing a hell of a job getting these interviews, but you really do have to be careful about not twisting those interviews and words as you'd like.

It didn't really jive with with the rest of our conversation, but in the end I figured it was interesting enough.
As far as quoting, I've let the commits take a look at what I've written before I publish. The difference in the Reeves article was that it was new news and I didn't get a chance to get it to him.
EDIT: I should also add that Armani's reaction was ironic to my mishap on the article. He wasn't even remotely upset about it and agreed to do one of our "makes friends" writeups if he commits to Michigan.

But not Chris Wormley if Rodriguez hadn't been dismissed. kthnksbye.

Tremendous! Also I'm 100% completely on the Lady Gaga bandwagon as well and have no shame about it at all.
Wormley sounds like a good guy. Again, it's been said before, but I like that we're prioritizing hi-quality guys we can be proud of on and off the field. Looking forward to seeing these guys develop under our coaching staff.
Seriously though - Lady Gaga is a musical genius.

Do you know if Meyer tried to contact him when he took the ohio job?
January 24th, 2012 at 7:14 PM ^
I can hardly wait to see what type of player Chris will be in a couple years. He has so much potential. Will be fun to watch.

One of the reasons Rivals has him rated lower, is because some believe Helmholdt has something against him? I thought I remembered hearing before that something happened between him and Helmholdt quite a while back, and that's is somewhat the reason for the low ranking. Is there any weight to this?

Haters are going to hate. It just doesn't sound right spelled out like that.

Did meyer ever contact wormley?
January 24th, 2012 at 8:23 PM ^
I literally almost ran in to this "kid" at the Notre Dame game. He is a big dude.
January 24th, 2012 at 10:46 PM ^
Ive seen him play a few times. I'd say he is 6'5 at the minimum.
January 24th, 2012 at 11:29 PM ^
Yeah, at a minimum. Most reports have him between 6'6" and 6'7" currently.
January 25th, 2012 at 2:48 PM ^
8 feet tall if he were an inch that man.....
January 24th, 2012 at 9:00 PM ^
This is a guy who is very under the radar. Didn't drag out his recruitment, never went on a ton of visits or attracted a ton of attention. Was very dominant as a HS player, but still somehow went more unnoticed than you would expect.
I think he'll make a big time impact early in his M career. Maybe not as a true frosh, but early on.

Thanks again for the interviews!

Rivals low on midwest recruits...is this common thought amongst those in the profession?
