weird-awesome.  Like Lawful-good in D&D back in the day, these coaches have Weird-Awesome, or Awesome-Weird twitter presences.

I wasn't sure about Partridge - the Blue Swarm thing wasn't my cup of tea, and the constant references to Michigan Nation (like many, I grate against XX Nation anything) weren't the greatest.  An Always Sunny reference though, is pretty spectacular.

Ok, as someone who has written for D&D/WOTC/Hasbro and Paizo, allow me kindly to point out that while the mention is appreciated, a) there are no hyphens in alignments, and b) back in the day? WATCHOO TALKIN' BOUT WILLIS?

Plenty of people still playing! Gen Con has record attendances, D&D sold better in the 2000s than in the 80s, etc.

Sorry.

Yeah, but none of the "cool" gamers (oxymoron?)  today use alignments; they're just, like, too restrictive, man. Personally, I always preferred alignments like lawful neutral with neutral evil tendencies.  That way you had the whole gamut pretty much covered, or, you could just play Chaotic Neutral and do whatever the h*ll you wanted.

As a long lapsed gamer who has just gotten back into the game very recently (via 5th Edition), I am curious to know what you have written for WOTC & Paizo. Magazine articles, supplements, adventures?

Sorry for late reply and thread necro, but as far as I know this board doesn't have PMs.

Email me at my username at hotmail and I'll send you which games, books, articles, etc I've worked on. Got a Bundle of Holding offer coming up pretty soon.

Surprised our coaches are weighing in on the sex before marriage debate.  I wonder if they'll chaperone the school dances.

Is it Ron Johnson, Brad Hawkins, Amir Mitchell, and Donald Stewart that are visiting on Wednesday?  Stewart went to Stanford recently, called it his dream offer, and ballz have been shifting there lately.

Johnson and one of the 2 receivers are critical in my mind.  Johnson and Khalid would be a great duo at DE, but maybe more SDE types.  Get them in, pull another elite WDE.  If we get one of Mitchell and Hawkins this summer, there's plenty of time to bring in another elite WR.

Per 247, looks like Mitchell visits Ohio State today and ND tomorrow.

I think Donald Stewart is going to go to Stanford.  He was waiting for that offer and he finally got it.  He's previously said that was his dream school.  Also, now the CBs are 2/3 in favor of Stanford as well.

Looks like they might try to get 2 of the NJ receivers at least, then push hard for one of the WRs from FL or CA, or push really hard to get Dez Fitzpatrick back in the fold - and thereby also holding tight onto Reese and Khalid as well.

OSU doesn't have room for Mitchell at this point, they have 3 other wide receivers that they're in good shape with that are higher on their board, and only one open spot.  Most sources I've seen seem to think he would accept an OSU offer if it was made now, but he's not going to get one anytime soon, so it's presumably a UM vs. ND battle.

Kid can play, too.

Partridge must be having the time of his life and working his ass off at the same time...he went from HS FB coach to a core member of THIS staff...at a program with damn near unlimited resources.

AND... there is a bit of an F U element too.  Don't forget there was major drama in NJ earlier when Partridge quit his HC coach position in order to join Kyle Flood's staff at Rutgers.  Then Rutgers re-negged because they were (allegedly) pissed that he was talking to the media about his job before Flood "officially" worked out the terms of it.  In addition, there were certain NJ HS coaches that hate Partridge because Partridge was aggressive in recruiting athletes to Paramus Catholic from the other Catholic schools and local public HS's; therefore, some feel that Flood was pressured into re-negging on Partridge.

From Partridge's perspective, I can see how he wants to one-up Rutgers and take every high profile guy away from Rutgers before Flood even has a chance...

10 Urban Meyers a crying.  9 Satelite campers a camping. 8 more LSU players commiting felonies.  7 is a fucking great number. 6 eucalyptus leaves I'm a eating. Five SEC teams a bitching. Four tight ends a running. Three Harbaughs a Coaching. Two 4 stars a coming. And Chris Partridge with a foreshadowing tweeee(t).

Why is UFM crying?  He has the #2 class in 2016 and a huge lead as #1 in 2017.  He just finished his first satellite camp in South Florida and loved the experience, he'll almost certainly be doing multiple camps next year.  What, specifically, is he crying about?

I would really prefer that Athletic Dept employees STFU about potential commitments.  I realize it's the off season and we are all thirsting for any football news, especially if it tends to show our decade long slog through the football wilderness is ending.  However, I am uncomfortable with University employees who are actually working with the recruits (who are adolescents making what is for many the most important decision of their young lives) teasing us in public with information they may (or may not) have about the recruits' decision process.  They're kids!  Lay off!  Public scrutiny from a bunch of people who they have never met and who know nothing is bad enough.  The adults who are working with them have no business putting these kids on the spot in public.  This is not helpful.  And no, I don't think it is cute to imply something intending to cause a stir, just to have a laugh at everyone else's expense when you announce something totally different a few days later.  Mr. Partridge could be talking about the menu for the BBQ, but he has to know his tweet will cause rampant speculation about the kid he used to coach in high school.  He's not doing anyone any favors here.  (Curmudegeon alert)  This just more evidence, as if we needed any, that twitter is a fabulous way to get yourself in trouble with little, if any, benefit to anyone.
