It's not okay to share paywalled material like this where you're just directly regurgitating the information.
Would it have been better if I said he's making a decision between Rutgers and Michigan, neither team has a lead? I'm really curious, I've been a daily reader of this blog for 4 years and have gleamed paywalled info from countless posts. I didn't just copy and paste the post nor did I reveal all of the info that Tom posted.
Those who stay will be champions. Beat Ohio.
You've never been accused of that in the past. Keep doin your thang. It's much appreciated of the info you've brought to this blog.
Lucky enough to have my own JT wristband!!

While Brian is very lax on this issue, he says don't relay every last detail. The truth is, that post from TomVH really only had that one detail, Muller is 50/50 between the two. This post relayed everything that TomVH had to say. It's better to be vague like, we still have a good shot with Muller.
He said don't cut and paste it word for word, and don't give every detail, yes, but if there is only one piece of news, that's all that can be told. It's not a requirement to obscure the facts. As said below, you can copyright the text, but you can't hide info. If you want it a secret, don't publish it. No one owns what someone else said. Give it up.

I see it done all the time
Its called a royale with cheese
I'll always have trouble seeing it as morally wrong to tell someone what's behind a paywalled article. The business plan is just dumb. Are we just supposed to keep secrets? Am I not supposed to tell you what I read in the New York Times?
Tim Horton's is way better than Dunkin' Donuts, man. Come to Michigan.
The nice thing about Michigan is you get a choice.

Sam Webb tweeted that he was deciding today.
I dont want to disrespect the board or the rules, but according to our old buddy, Kozan is in fact announcing tonight. There have been more updates, but Im not going to be that guy. I'll just say one thing and that is the "new guy" may or may not have been on campus today...
THOSE WHO STAY WILL BE CHAMPIONS
What was all this talk about him trying to keep the Rutgers recruiting class together after Shiano left.

how did this post get here?

know."

Does anyone know if Grant, Reeves, and Kozan are supposed to announce today and about what time?
We're not teaching them about sports, we're teaching them about life!
Thanks 4 posting..Im getting sick and tired of the internet police.
Imagine how TomVH feels when people steal his content. It's his job, how he makes money and feeds his family.

No matter what. And information is never copyrighted, only the format is.
Yep, that's Simba made out of a pineapple.
ESPN isn't going to fire van Haaren because some Internet guy put a piece of information (relatively useless) into the free sphere.
It's not like this was premium Recruit 4 U information. ESPN will get by.
Why post anything, especially when Tom asks that you not do it?
w will all find out soon enough.

And how will we all know it if someone doesn't tell it? Is the recruit required not to tell anyone since Tom paywalled it?

You would know where he asked that. Hint: its not on mgoblog anywhere.
And we will know when the kid announces..that's what I meant. Picking this apart, minute by minute, is like the asshole driver who cuts off cars to save a net of 30 seconds in an hour long commute.
By the way, the kid doesn't need tvhs approval to announce.

That's all bent out of shape because you're realizing you're paying for nothing, because information breaks instantly in this day and age, and to pay for it is, well, not too bright. He may "ask" it, but if he didn't ask it here (which would be the height of hypocrisy since he benefited from this whole format) then what obligation is anyone here to keep what someone else tells him private?
The $$$ value is in what the kid says. If he had tweeted it would be out there for free. But because he tells Tom it give the Tom the right to make a profit off of what the kid says, when the kid can't see any of that money? The kid telling Tom, and not asking him to keep it confidential, means he wants it public. I doubt his intent is to make it public...but just tell the people who pay for your site. If the kid tells it, he either wants it out there, or doesn't want it out there at all. He's profiting off of the players with them getting nothing in return. But pub. And restricted pub is even less of a benefit.
You write something, you've created a personal work. You just pass along something someone else says, that's in no way different than someone passing along what Tom said. Because Tom didn't pay or his quote either.

TomVH has benefitted directly from Mgoblog's set up.

I agree. The hypocrisy is enough to make your head spin. I give these sites a grace period of about an hour or so of being breaking news, by then it's either already posted or I will tell you what they said myself. I paid for the content and I will do what I want with it.
And this would definitely give me back some lost smile due to Garnett's love of some tree.
Not to be a buzz kill but on scout Sam Webb and company have said the opposite, that he made contact with coaches and they were not interested. Dunno. Sam also says gut feeling re Kozan is we got him.
Well he's big and Brady Hoke & Co. like big. So I think there is a Big chance we might land this kid after gregory leaving town.
"When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing."
I don't have enough points anymore to start a thread but TomVH updated our recruitment of OL Chris Muller earlier today. Muller says he's 50-50 between Michigan and Rutgers. Article is paywalled.
