Purdue still plays football?
October 15th, 2015 at 2:51 PM ^
No one - and I mean NO ONE - goes from Michigan to Purdue, unless they are being nudged by Michigan to do so. And that is because no, Purdue does not play football. What they play is closer to tennis or badminton, if I had to pick another sport...

Well if Walker commits, maybe this is his backup plan...
October 15th, 2015 at 2:31 PM ^
Highly doubt that considering Evans is likely to play slot or CB
October 15th, 2015 at 2:23 PM ^
Purdue may finally get revenge for Roundtree.
October 15th, 2015 at 2:36 PM ^
and Bellomy?

Hey Bellomy probably could've started for Purdue

We had such high hopes at first.
*sigh*

Maybe he thinks he can go there and be the man, instead of getting lost on the depth chart here?
October 15th, 2015 at 2:59 PM ^
or rather he will be the ONLY man. Enjoy 4 years of purgatory.
October 15th, 2015 at 2:33 PM ^
To me, I got the impression he was referring to Reese our LB commit... Constantly been visiting schools and just got offered by Texas yesterday I believe.
October 15th, 2015 at 2:57 PM ^
Yeah Sam Webb spoke about this on Monday I think in response to a callers question about who has verballed but may not make it in the class. He specifically said that Chris Evan had informed the coaches that he would be visiting Purdue and Indiana on officials but that he was firmly commited to the Wolverines.
Nothing to see here, move along. I mean C'mon man! Purdue?
October 15th, 2015 at 3:40 PM ^
it's about more playing time vs. being another good player among many here. Also, it could be about being closer to home. Yeah, it's not like Ann Arbor is that far from central Indiana. But some guys just don't want to go that far. Who knows? Either way, I don't think Michigan will have much trouble filling up the class with quality players.
October 15th, 2015 at 4:03 PM ^
There's other places you can go to get playing time without it turning into losing time.
October 15th, 2015 at 2:26 PM ^
He also visited Indiana on October 3rd. Probably just checking some places out. No big deal. Harbaugh will not lose any kid he wants to Purdue or Indiana. Harbaugh probably could recruit in basketball for U-M and not lose a kid to Purdue or IU.

Bloomington and West Lafayette wouldn't be very high on my list of places.
October 15th, 2015 at 2:44 PM ^
As college towns go, Bloomington is pretty good. Much better than South Bend or West Lafayette.
October 15th, 2015 at 3:01 PM ^
Well according to IU fans....
October 15th, 2015 at 3:09 PM ^
I venture to say that the dude holding the sign hasn't slept with any IU girls
October 15th, 2015 at 3:21 PM ^
Or rather any girls.

Agreed on West Lafayette, Bloomington not so much. Bloomington is a really fun college town. But I guess you did say your list of places, so to each his own.
October 15th, 2015 at 3:36 PM ^
West Lafayette isn't so bad. They have some reall nice show pigs there.

it's gotta be schools that are offering him official visits, but Athens, Oxford, Miami, Tempe, etc. would be higher on my list if it was mainly looking for a weekend of fun.

Is this because of Walker/the staff or Chris just keeping things open?
October 15th, 2015 at 2:27 PM ^
This only makes sense if he is concerned about playing time. Maybe he thinks hell end up at RB and is concerned about the Walker knews?
October 15th, 2015 at 2:28 PM ^
From the way the tables are turning the elephant in the room seems to be just how we're going to make room for the higher echelon players that are giving us new looks. I've heard rumors of grayshirts, and wonder about whether oversigning is going to become an issue for us. Hope not.
October 15th, 2015 at 4:06 PM ^
Screw it, let's oversign like all the cool kids do.
Let's be bad for once.

Hope he has a good time, but not too worried about losing him to either school, especially as Purdue is about to get a new coach. He may just be trying to get more exposure for some of his high school team-mates.

after the 2018 season is going to be?
October 15th, 2015 at 2:34 PM ^
Brian talked about this a while ago. IIRC, he basically said that Harbaugh usually has a number of guys who commit and don't end up enrolling. Sometimes it's due to their own choosing and sometimes it's basically made known to them that they should look elsewhere. He said prepare to be a bit uncomfortable, because while it's not illegal it's a bit unsavory and it's going to happen.
