Chris Clark to take 2 Officials (?)
Not to rain on the snowflakes but Clark tweeted (strangely late in the game) he was taking 2 more officials but remains firmly committed to UM. With his history ... and Hoke's policy... not sure what it means.
Note - he has since erased the 2 tweets where he said he was going to take 2 officials and separately that he remained commited to UM.
EDIT - Kyle Bogenschutz of Scout has one of the erased tweets in his timeline. Josh Newkirk has it as well.

Saw this earlier as well. I'll wait to get the official word from Sam Webb or others but it would appear Clark is once again wavering on his commitment/word.

Exactly where do you get off suggesting that Clark is not a man of his word? These kinds of chicken shit remarks are entirely out of order.
August 30th, 2014 at 4:39 PM ^
I said "appears", not "is." Also, I get off by saying this based on the fact that he went back on his word to UNC and it is now being suggested, by his own twitter account no less, that he might be going back on his word to Michigan. I know it's easier to live in a world where nobody ever draws any conclusions that are anything other than what you believe to be politically correct, but it's not reality.

I also have no problem with a commit changing his mind on schools several times. It's their right. That being said, that kind of behavior implies that said recruit is impulsive about big decisions, doubts their own judgement, and doesn't take their commitments as seriously as most people would prefer. Kids are kids, but if you wanna be treated like a man of your word then act like it.

He's probably saying it because it's, like, true.
August 30th, 2014 at 7:07 PM ^
Calling out someone (or their remarks) as chicken shit over the internet is, pretty much by definition, chickenshit.

because it seems to be the reality of the situation id say
August 30th, 2014 at 4:26 PM ^
Should add that when questioned he apparently responded by saying he is still committed to Michigan and taking officials doesn't change that. Apparently he isn't familiar with Hoke's commitment policy.
August 30th, 2014 at 4:28 PM ^
That was my first thought as well but my second thought was with all the hours these guys spend in the recruitment process the way Hoke does his committments would be spelled out very well. But who knows.

Chris Clark on Twitter be like:

Bitch, don't kill my vibe.

Pat loves that song.

Ty Wheatley come on down?
August 30th, 2014 at 4:52 PM ^
Yes please!
August 30th, 2014 at 4:29 PM ^
i know he is a kid, but damn.. i wish he would just stop committing and just take his time until February 2nd.
August 30th, 2014 at 6:25 PM ^
I highly doubt that he is going to be taking any visits. Look at how he congratulated Darian Roseboro on joining the family and is recruiting Marcus Lewis to join Michigan as well.

If he wants to look around, more power to him. Rather have him realize he wants to be elsewhere now than right on NSD or later.
August 30th, 2014 at 4:33 PM ^
I think it was his friends messing with his twitter account again. Regardless, I wish UM fans would leave these kids alone on twitter. Isn't it against the rules for us to tweet them anyway?!?
August 30th, 2014 at 4:55 PM ^
Indeed it is. If you tweet at recruits with the specific intent of enticing them to come to the institution you support, then you are in violation of the rules. Actually, people who do it seem to forget that you do not need to be an alum or booster or someone with a vested connection to the school, it applies to anyone. The remedy typically is for the school to make the NCAA aware of that communication so that they can show that they do not support it and are doing their best to abide by the rules. Schools will also try to get in touch with the offender and request that they stop the practice.
August 30th, 2014 at 7:38 PM ^
Wouldn't everyone just go tweet our rivals recruits and pretend we are a fan of that school? Not into tweeting kids but that "rule" you speak of could never be enforced.
August 30th, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
well rules aside its just wierd and creepy to follow or interact with 16-22 year old strangers over the internet (unless its your job to cover as reporter). root for them to choose your favorite school all you want, but interacting with random kids on twitter or any other medium simply cannot be defended - its goofy
August 30th, 2014 at 7:57 PM ^
"Unless it's your job" is Gray area IMO
Anybody can be a social media reporter or call him recruits these days

during the scrimmage. I was shoked. I guess this wouldn't technically be to entice him to come because he already gave a verbal. I know Kentucky and other schools do it but was very surprised at Michigan doing it.
August 30th, 2014 at 4:59 PM ^
What are these rules you speak of?
August 30th, 2014 at 4:49 PM ^
Hope he stays with UM but if not we will keep moving..We Dem Boyz

This one

Dang it WVU D. 3 and 13 really?
Edit: wrong thread apologies.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:02 PM ^
Wow...NSD is sooo far away.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:23 PM ^
My usual take with these kids, if they don't want to be here then we don't want them here. We will be fine with or without him.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:28 PM ^
is raining on my parade.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:41 PM ^
Found it. I looked through four threads for this.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:54 PM ^
But, at the start of the season, with a great showing like this, loads of young talent on this team, and guys like Butt and Bunting already on the team and other targets like Wheatley out there...this is the least of my worries. I still hope UM retains him because he seems like a great player, but if not so be it.
August 30th, 2014 at 5:59 PM ^
I didn't realize this was 11 warriors. Get the true facts before you bash this kid.
August 30th, 2014 at 7:21 PM ^
Feel free to give them to us.
August 31st, 2014 at 10:56 AM ^
do you know what "bash" means?
August 30th, 2014 at 6:15 PM ^
better than 3
August 31st, 2014 at 2:25 PM ^
If I was in High School, I'd be all over some free vacations to Florida/California etc.
I'd assume it was more of a "Cool trips sound fun".
Than a "hrmm do I really wanna go to UM?".
