All white doesn't look quite as bad as I thought it would. I'm not sold on the blue pants, doesn't look quite right somehow. Given a choice of those three, I'd go with all white. However I will still freak out if they do show up with all white uni's tomorrow night.

I hope that the White Pants have Maize and Blue stripes on them like the old 70s pants had. That would look much better than just plain white.

I agree with adding stripes. But, not the stripes we had back then, it would be too retro. Plus, imagine the old pants with todays jersey.

NOW, if we went the "retro" look, it would be cool. Jerseys and all.

I love it.

I say all white with a stripe resembling the jersey on the pants. Or the blue pants, blue stripe one with maize outline going into the blue pants.

If we wear maize pants, no stripes, thats tradition.

If you look closely at our pants they have pipping/panels that align perfectly with the side maize stripe on our white jerseys. I would imagine our white pants would still have the maize pipping/panels aligning with the stripe on our jerseys. Louisville just wore something like that (sorry no photo). That is my guess.

Running/cross trainers are white, but that's it.

From a pure public relations standpoint—completely aside from aesthetic considerations—I think it would be smart for RR to avoid any tinkering with the unis until he's gotten a couple of winning seasons—including victories over MSU and OSU—under his belt first. The stadium expansion and going 3-9 was hard enough for the blue hairs and old alums to swallow, and when you add the rawk music at home games that even younger fans like our own Mr. Cook find horrible, RR risks pushing a pretty conservative fan base faster than it wants to go.

Besides, the uniforms aren't broken, and don't need fixing. It's the play on the field that's in need of a fix.

I've been wanting for a long time to see us wear blue pants for our away jerseys. I think they would look really good with our helmet. Just lose the stripes on the away jersey.

IME, the blue road pants look better than an all white uniform. Our helmet just doesn't fit with an all white option. The teams that work it best are Penn State and Texas because they have white helmets to go with it.

I posted this in another thread about the white pants, but this is how I hope they would look. It is colored within the panels that are already there, like some of you mentioned. I did this mock up when I first heard the rumor.

i'd prefer the blue striping on both the jersey and uniform.

Here's a question, why am I seen a different addidas road jersey in stores with no maize striping at all?

Adidas replicas and 'replithentics' or whatever you want to call them are terrible. Both have different striping and piping, and both are wrong. Only the authentics are right. That was one good thing about Nike, the replicas had the right striping, only the materials were different.

I definitely like option #1 and #3. #2 looks too WVU-ish. But if I had to pick just one, I'd go with the white pants because of the old traditional look. That's how we did it back in the day and I think it'd be a good look to go back to.

how many posts (and Photoshopped pictures) can be dedicated to the color of men's tight pants on a football blog. I'm going to abstain and just vote for a W, regardless of pant color.
