chickens, he said they chickened out-big difference, as in someone acted like an asshole as opposed to calling them an asshole.  If he called them The Figthing Irish, his defense would be that they, themselves has previously estalblished them as such.  Even if he had called them chickens or worse, what would the damages be; all UM fans having to spend a weekend in South Bend in February?

i know chickens, each year we kill hundreds of them by cutting their heads off, dunking them in boiling water and then spinning them in the whiz-bang so fast their feathers fall off.  then we cut their legs off and eviserate them.     be glad you aren't anywhere near the farm, because of all of your similarities to my fowl, you could end up in a whiz-bang with no head and no feathers, and we wouldn't want that now, would we....

Michigan will be fine (you never sue someone who keeps an army of lawyers on retainer) but we have to dodge ND's particular litigiousness.

They don't have to sue; they're members of the same organization as the Big Ten teams, so all they have to do is put in a cease and desist for any reason, and if you get that all the other teams (including Michigan) will see it and not care why. ND this year was particularly stringent on message control with anything that had to do with calling them cowards.
