Wow, I didn't see this one coming. Were there any rumors about this? Is this Harbaugh telling him to look around? As much as Harbaugh uses the fallback, I thought this kid would jump at the chance to come to Michigan

Honestly the reaction to WD is why I stopped posted an inside information I have. I don't know why this blog is so intent on beating each other up. If you don't like what he has to say or the information he gives just move on. We beat him up over it. I don't know a thing about WD but I do know that we all can choice what and who you want to listen to.

My take is if you are going to beat me up for telling you information or even correcting intention information that a recruit has put out there I'm not going to offer it.

With that said I guess WD is better than me in taking punishment.

Honestly the board needs more of an upvote system, that promotes the better stuff and shoves the crap to the bottom. I don't mind reading boards but sifting through piles of crap is a chore just to find a decent comment. I'm sure  there are a lot of lurkers here and would help the board, the only downside being hivemind upvote/downvote.

I haven't posted it. I didn't feel doing it with a vague source would have added much to the conversation. Posting full details was absolutely not an option.

That's an unreasonable bar to clear. It can lead to the poster losing access/the original source having problems. It's a standard you won't see applied elsewhere, certainly not any paysites.

Rumors and unsourced info are going to be posted and they're going to get discussed. It's up to the blog and its readers to decide how much credence to give them and how much credibility the posters have. I think we have a few credible posters that add a lot to the board, despite sometimes being treated poorly.

instead just making some "I've got information I'm not sharing" comments that he knows is going to make it all about him. I see it all too often on his part. That's pretty much what he did last night with his (since deleted) OP about some Nike T-shirt he saw at M Den, feeling the need to announce that this particular gray shirt with black uniform numbers will NOT be an alternative uniform. If I (or anyone else) were to post such nonsense as an OP, I'd expect to be taken to the woodshed, too. WD posts a helluva lot of good stuff on the MGoBoard. And I upvote most of it. But like I did last night on his shirt thread, I and numerous others have no problem with pointing out the nonsense stuff---after all, sometimes the attention is apparently what he is going for anyway.

I think this particular... thread is probably unnecessary.

WD - you are using this blog to learn about life.  Cool.  Don't protect your sources by throwing a kid under the bus.  We all can read between the lines without sources.

Enjoy life... without harming others - especially kids.  That is a pretty basic lesson.

Your focus and judgment are the issue here.

2 cents.

FWIW, you rub me the wrong way pretty often and I've never said anything about it that I can remember. I concede you are one of the more knowledgeable and sometimes useful posters here, but you have an annoying need for validation where when people don't all but fawn over your posts, you post a bunch of passive aggressive, snide comments like, well, like the ones you've posted in this thread. You could really do without the I'm taking my ball and going home bit because, like I said, I do actually appreciate some of the info you contribute.
