Charles Woodson wine tasting/bottle signing at Plum Market 2/5 & 2/6
TwentyFour Wines seems to be a real passion for Mr Woodson these days, and he'll be in Michigan for a "casual tasting" and bottle signing event at Plum Market in Ann Arbor on February 5 from 7:15-9:15 and in Bloomfield February 6 from 4:00-6:00. Both events appear to be open to the public and free.
His 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon made Wine Spectator's Top 100 for 2014, coming in at number 58.

Nice, glad to pick up a couple bottles!

A couple bottles of the cabernet will set you back ($112/bottle) but the sauvignon blanc is very good and obviously more wallet friendly ($20/bottle).

Can get a box too. Usually more economical that way too.

Good to know prices. Think I'll grab my parents one of the nicer ones for sure.

the resident MGoSommelier or oenophile, but it's not so much nicer as just different types of wine/grapes. I gifted a 2009 cabernet and have had the 2012 and 2013 sauvignon blancs; I'm waiting for feedback on the cabernet but the sauvignon blanc is definitely the best California sauvignon blanc I've had (although I almost always buy from New Zealand so maybe that's not as worthwhile as I make it sound).
One beautiful pair of bottles on my grandma's table circa Christmas 2013.

Charles Woodson will be a 5 minute walk from my place? Yep, I'll be there. I can't walk out of that place without somehow spending damn near $100 anyways, so might as well get some nice wine and get to see a living legend while I'm at it.

Well, at least you can even it out with trips to Aldi, where the wine is $3 per bottle.

Talk about an intersection with a tale of two grocery stores. I could buy a month's worth of groceries from Aldi with what I end up spending on ingredients to make dinner at Plum.

"Bottle signing" like that's what people want him to sign.

Can I buy a bottle and have him sign a helmet? Or have him sign my chest and then get a tattoo through it? Ok, maybe too far.

Damn I was really hoping this was gonna be the Chicago one when I saw the title.

There will be a long, long line, Im sure.
Several years ago I was working at whole foods, and Maynard James Keenan was featuring his wine, called Caduceus Cellars. We had to sign waivers saying that if we looked him in the eye, we would be terminated. What a tool. I'm sure Chuck is much more down to earth.

Please tell me that is not true, the look him in the eye and get fired part. What a "Tool" indeed.

Some nicely rated wines. Autographed from the winery are damn expensive.

The Michigan Club of NorCal should plan a trip out to his vineyard

I live just down the road from Plum and am in there several times per week. Brian and the staff need to be there.
