Charles Woodson wants U-M to be respected again

Does this mean he did not want Michigan to be respected the past 3 years?  This is exactly what Brian is talking about in his main post.  Where was Woodson?  If he had been out in the public, talking up Michigan football, do you think recruits on defense would have noticed?  He was the first Heisman trophy winner on defense, for f-ck sake!  Granted, he's been very active with Mott Children's Hospital which is, like, outstanding.  But different nonetheless.

(FWIW, it pained me to write this.  Woodson was my favorite player after Desmond and was my colleague.  But sometimes the truth hurts.)

It's been three years since I have heard anything out of Woodson other than "Lloyd Carrs University of Michigan." Where was this respect talk last season? This is coming from a kid who named his dog Charles Woodson.
