Charles Woodson, keeping it real since 1976

Submitted by MattisonMan on

After the Green Bay Packers' 21-14 victory over the Chicago Bears in Sunday's NFC Championship game, Packers safety Charles Woodson called out President Barack Obama.

"The president don't want to come watch us at the Super Bowl, guess what?" Woodson said in a postgame speech. "We're going to see him."

Last week, Obama said he would attend the Super Bowl if the Bears beat the Packers in the NFC title game.

At the end of the speech, the Packers players broke out into a cheer of "White House!"

will it be if GB wins and they go to the whitehouse (like all the other superbowl champs)

But seriously, It doesnt bother me that the prez said that. I like the fact that he is a fan of sports. It makes him seem more like a normal person rather than a pc douche.

as a rallying point, but it's entirely reasonable that Obama would have mentioned going to the game if the Bears win. He's a Chicago fan, not a Packers fan.

If the Packers win, I'm sure there will be some very good-natured bantering back and forth between the Packers and the Pres during their visit.

but its nice that the President at least has a clue.  Didn't John Kerry call Lambeau Field "Lambert" Field to a crowd of Packer fans a while back.  Same dude was in Michigan praising the Buckeyes.  Pretty funny.

but it's not like a wife can't find an infinite number of other things to ding you about.  In my case, it's "are you on that damn Michigan blog thing again.  For god's sake, you will get a coach when you get a coach...." etc. etc.  My response is F5.

Has any player ever won a heisman, national title, and a super bowl in one career as a player? Hell, throw in the super bowl MVP and that's gotta be unmatched, right?
