Charles Woodson Celebrity Judging Mock Rock

Submitted by formerlyanonymous on
Gray area of on topic as this involves several of the current athletes, but Mock Rock is coming up Tuesday the 16th. Charles Woodson is going to be on campus as a celebrity judge, which is awesome. As for those unfamiliar with Mock Rock (athletes singing) via MGoBlue:
Tickets for Mock Rock are $15 for premier seating and $10 for general admission and can be purchased online or at the Michigan Athletic Ticket Office (1000 S. State St.). Tickets also will be available the night of the event at Hill Auditorium. Doors will open at 7 p.m. Proceeds from this year's Mock Rock will benefit the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, 826michigan and Student-Athletes Leading Social Change (SALCS). Mock Rock was started by a group of Michigan student-athletes in honor of the late wrestler Jeff Reese. The money raised from the first events endowed a scholarship in his name. In subsequent years, the proceeds were given to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. Mock Rock raised $78,000 for philanthropic organizations in 2009. Donation information is available on the Mock Rock website for individuals who cannot attend the event but wish to help Mock Rock reach its goal of $80,000 this year.

This is definitely worth going to, for those on campus. Great cause, a usually funny hazing session by the football and hockey teams (freshmen are usually sacrificed, as I understand it) and at least a couple teams (Men's Swimming/Diving) that put far, far too much effort into it and make it awesome. Plus, if you're lucky, the volleyball team will do something and they're super cute.

According to the news letter I got, Lamarr Woodley will also be a guest judge. Now we all HAVE to go. You wouldn't want to piss of Lamarr Woodley, would you?
