Chapel Hill for Lax Team 1 @ UNC

Submitted by M2NASA on

In Chapel Hill from D.C. for the Men's Lax game at North Carolina tomorrow.  Anyone else going to be there and any alumni pre-game tailgates or events?

We'll be at Top of the Hill before the game.

Shock the world, Go Blue!

This would have to be the biggest upset in lacrosse history if they can pull it off.

with at least my middle school son. Here's the M-TAC notice on the tailgate:

#14 Michigan Lacrosse Takes On #5 UNC This Saturday The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team will be in Chapel Hill, N.C., to wrap up its inaugural season this Saturday (May 5), taking on the No. 5 North Carolina Tar Heels at 7 p.m. at Fetzer Field. It should be a beautiful night to come out and join other Michigan alumni and fans as they cheer on Michigan Lacrosse Team-1. Nothin' could be fina than Team - #1 beating Carolina with a big group of Wolverines in the stands to support our team and cheer them on! Several folks have told us they plan to tailgate. I know fans "down here" think they know how to tailgate but they don't know how to tailgate like we do at Michigan. Come show off your tailgating skills, cheer on your fellow Wolverines and be a part of Michigan history knowing that you were at the final game of the inaugural season of the lacrosse team. Directions to Fetzer Field http://www.tarheelblue.com/facilities/unc-fetzer-field.html We hope to see you Saturday night! Go Blue!

“I know fans "down here" think they know how to tailgate but they don't know how to tailgate like we do at Michigan.”

I’m intrigued. Evidently, I don’t know how to tailgate like we do at Michigan either. Unless I’m mistaken, he means like you’re at a wedding reception, right?

I kept trying to figure out how we were ranked #14 with only one win this season. Then I realized that it just meant it was our 14th game.

If folks that're going are interested, I can whip up a quick game preview as a diary like I did for OSU, but I would warn in advance that it's just gonna be a lot of words that boil down to "we're gonna get our butts kicked."
