Whenever I say the "smoke green snort white"
cheer to sparties they always look and go "YEAH MAN SMOKE GREEN SNORT WHITE".
I used to like these chants because they were funny and mocked their own chants but when they say "go green go white" and we say "smoke green snort white" it just makes it sound like a louder "go green go white".
So in sum I don't like it as much anymore plus they don't take offense. Can't read can't write though is still a classic!

Then after, a second verse is started with "If you can't get into State kill yourself."
I was always particular to that version. Much meaner.

I love Michigan hockey chants. They are probably the best chants in all of sports, at least in my opinion.

Totally random yet funny chant
Back in the day (1987-ish), we chanted "Ooh, Aah, NICE SUIT! Ooh, Aah, NICE SUIT!" to anyone who walked by on the field in - yep - a suit during the game.
Do not like the "You suck" chant, by the way. I heard it at the OSU game in 2007 for the first time and it made no sense to me since it was we who sucked that particular day. Then I believe it was waged at LC once it became clear that we weren't going to win. I wasn't a huge LC fan, but he did win us a National Championship and sent plenty of players into the NFL. He didn't completely suck.
Florida State
Waaaay back when Elvis was still QB, we played Florida State at home. The 'Noles were beating us (final score 51-31). We were getting REALLY sick of hearing that stupid, repetitious, bastardized, "War Chant" their band always plays. Finally, the student section decided to make up its own set of lyrics:
"FUUUUUUUUUCK THE SE-MI-NOLES!"
Their band and cheerleaders thought we were chanting along with them.
"Yeah. You keep thinking that, Goober. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on."

my favorite chant happened during a hockey game back in 1997. Michigan was killing (can't remember team) and both teams had pulled their starting netminders. Thus after a good save by our back up goalie greg malicke we would get a "Goalie (pointing at Malicke) Goalie (pointing at Turco on the bench) Sieve (pointing at current goalie in net for other team) Sieve (pointing at pulled goalie on their bench). Well with about 2 minutes left a puck was shot out of play and towards the old press box area. Sure enough our 3rd string goalie Greg Diadrio (sp?) caught it. To which we started a Goalie, Goalie, Goalie (pointing at Greg in the press box), Sieve, Sieve chant.

Variation on Black hole chant
My favorite chant is from my days as a M hockey season ticket holder in the late 90's / early 2000's. Western had a goalie who was like Darren Pang short. And so some student modified the Black Hole chant to something like this:
You're not a goalie, you're a dwarf

You're not a smurf, you're a hobbit,
You're not a hobbit, you're just short, you're just short, you're just short.
I think that is the only time I ever saw a goalie cry. Best part was he was a 2 or 3 yr starter so we taunted him a second /third / fourth time. By the time he was a senior, when we did that chant and hung a 4 or 5 goal spot on him, as he got pulled from the game he flipped off the student section.
"So I come out of Ohio Stadium after we beat the Buckeyes, and right there on the hood of my friend's car, some one took a dump, in the shape of an 'O'. no shit. Oh, sorry, bad pun."

I think this was in 2003 but Northern Michigan had a player with the last name Cochburn. The PA announcer would pronounce it "Coe Burn" but as students we would do a slow Cock Burn chant everytime we played NMU. In Cochburn's senior year and his last game at Yost he was ejected from the game. After he left the ice the entire student section began chanting:
