The season is ending too quickly. Let's relish the few games we have left and hope for some interesting games. Have fun and let's keep it about the actual games and not about, well, the other stuff.
somehow we're only 124th
Should be some good bad weather games today. At this time next yeAr hope we are in Indy!
Please beat Auburn.
Anyone know the total on the Auburn game?
Best part about this time of year, ABC shows games at noon. This week and last week were the first two times that ABC has had noon games televised nation-wide. It just feels right having that extra game on TV.
Snow Bowl in Cincy!
It's awesome. I'm waiting for the snowball fight in the stands.
I'm cheering for Cincy, I've always liked Butch Jones, and he worked with RR in WVU back in 2005-06.
I'm cold just watching the Pitt/Cinci game. I've decided to make some soup!
Munchie LeGaux could be one of the best football names I've seen in quite some time.
the microphones don't even work.
Gameday was having sound fade outs for me too.
Just in case we're looking for a defensive coordinator....and not a whole staff...
Can the Big East be relegated to FCS? They'll be competitive...
Anyone else hear that stat on Gameday that UConn doesn't even have any votes in the coaches poll? I didn't realize that - it's crazy.
There are fewer Big 10 teams that wouldn't win the Big East than would win it.
When your premier name coaches are:
Wanny, Edsall and then a drop off into the void your conference stinks. Starting next year I'm pretty the Big East will be renamed "TCU and it's bitches."
I'm just hoping for as much BCS chaos as possible. So I think that means I want South Carolina and Oregon State to win?
also hoping for Cincy-Pitt to go to 10 OTs
That Pitt commercial made me want them in the Big 10 more.
Dion Lewis should have made the Pitt with his gloves. I'm just waiting for the KO Return TD that's about to come...
Wait...Mardy is gone...what about DJ..
What's the last Michigan game you can remember that was played in the snow?
The 2007 Michigan/Ohio State game mixed between snow and drizzle throughout. That's the last I can remember.
Wasn't there a little snow in the air during the 2007 OSU game? There wasn't any on the ground though so i'm not sure if that counts.
EDIT: Beat me to it. Also, wasn't there some snow at the 2008 Northwestern game?
Ah yes, you are correct in the Northwestern game. I forgot about that. I tried to block any memory of being at that game out of my head.
I was at that game and it was hell on earth for the fans. Cold, windy, and rainy/snowy. But, I'd do it again if I could.
Rutgers just scored using the WHEEL OF DOOM.
"hey, it's that goddamn play"
WVU covered it about as well as we did; as in , not at all
CASTREELS CANT DEFEREND THE WHEREL ROUT WE DONT WABNT HIIM
/trying to be funny but probably failing
Did I just hear the mascot got thrown out for throwing snowballs?
What is it with Ohio mascots this year?
Mascot on mascot violence is funny. If I was at that game with a young child though and they took a snowball in the face from a mascot, I'd be pissed though.
Plus the mascot has full facial protection from any return fire. Bush league.
Strikes me as amusing too.
But I have no use for the damn things.
The AP is reporting that he's being detained by police and that the backup mascot has "donned the suit" for the second half. haha!
Anyone else think that was the football flying out behind Tavon Austin after making that cut? It took me a few seconds to realize it was his shoe. For some reason I found this hilarious.
As a PA native I love how Pitt always just manages to get the natives hopes up. One amazing player like Dion Lews, HB Blades or Larry Fitzgerald. Enough to get people thinking "Hey maybe we can win the Big East/end the season ranked." Then the team always ends up mediocre.
Man, I would love to see Michigan play a bowl game against Florida or USC in the driving snow such as this.
Are you sure?
Oh, of course. After attending 7-8 games a year with the temperature consistently declining, I always find it odd that the final game is played in 70 degree weather. Football is meant to be played outdoors in the elements. What better element to play in than snow?
I love football in the elements. Just saying after seeing us in the slop at Purdue, maybe our advantage wouldn't be do great.
In the days of A-Train, Perry and Hart then I'd give us an edge in the elements. Rumble forward. Denard though it all about speed, precision and cuts. An ice covered field wouldn't benefit him.
Soccer team up 1.
The soccer team is now tied.
On a side note, how about UCF eh? No one is talking about that sunny looking game.
