CC, SFH: Scott Wolf says Harbaugh to Michigan on January 4

Submitted by Glen Masons Hot Wife on
http://www.insidesocal.com/usc/archives/2010/12/the-rumor-mill-17.html So, Scott Wolf, a supposed USC insider is claiming Harbaugh to Michigan immediately following the Orange Bowl. Don't really know too much about Scott Wolf. He doesn't exactly elaborate on his info. Hard to gauge the credibility. Any thoughts on the guy? Negbang me to heck*, I don't care. Given the importance of the topic, I'll read anything about/discuss it until a decision is made. *Modification to make this post Safe For Home. Edit - Why are there no spaces where I placed them? Sorry for the lack of spacing.

OK, just because Scott Wolf said it we believe it?  We've heard this same thing from much more reliable sources, and then even more reliable sources say that nothing has been decided either way. Outside of someone credible, like DB, JH or someone very close to the situation coming out publicly with some announcement, I don't see why we care about this.

So far we've had a lot of "insiders" saying things to people in private, and we've had a bunch of nobodies (Scott Wolf, numerous other "media" folk) saying things in public forums.  Neither of these things have any value.

Ha ha, well, let me tell you something about these USC characters for the last four years: they are positively twitching at the thought of Harbaugh remaining at Stanford.  Any chance they get to fantasize about Harbaugh leaving, or spin some type of rumor, they run with it.

I should also take this opportunity to say where I think Harbaugh should go, because this has been called into question on a thread what my motives are here.  HE SHOULD LEAVE STANFORD.  For the NFL.

I'm in the anti-RR camp right now, but I can't see a shred of anything credible in that "thing." It was more a tweet than any kind of article or "breaking news."

I don't care anymore about all this CC bullshit... it's too much to keep track of all these rumors.

I will just say this: I think it would be pretty questionable to fire Coach Rod, since that would probably also send at least Denard  packing as well, which would be just sad. It just makes more sense to see what 2011 brings with a once-in-a-generation talent like Denard running the show. I think a win in Jacksonville would push a DB firing of RR to the WTF side of the spectrum.

"fire Coach Rod" as it is the timing of the whole thing.  History shows us that its the "norm" of the NCAA to either fire or re-sign a coach after the regular season has finished.  Anything else would be devastating for coach in acquiring new recruits.  I just don't see the gain for UM in keeping everyone in limbo.  However I know will pull through because we're Michigan!  GO BLUE!!

It's pretty simple, RR isn't our coach. JH isn't our coach. The Michigan coach is a superposition of 2 wave-coach functions:

MICHIGAN FOOTBALL COACH = (1/sqrt2)*{|RR> |MegaGodzilla Offense> + |JH>|Defense Of Any Kind>}

"Scott Wolf, a supposed USC insider is claiming Harbaugh to Michigan immediately following the Orange Bowl."

Sounds like when Harbaugh told reporters Pete Carroll was going to the pros after the 2007 season.

Someone's gonna have to coach us and all signs and logic point to it not being Rodriguez.  If that is the case, he earned it. That is life.

Harbaugh is super. Hopefully we can get him.  This guy isn't named Brandon or Harbaugh, so I doubt what he says carries any more weight than the rest of us.

From now on, all CC threads (which really should be pCC -- as in 'possible,' or 'probable,' depending on where you sit on this -- threads) should be conducted in Yoda-ese.

examples:  "Dee Hart, stay would he?", "Cheesy banquet music, old school cannot countenance", and "traditional rivals, vanquished must be"

After following his blog during the USC coach search last year, I can safely confirm he has no inside sources at the school he actually covers on a day to day basis.  He never knew anything that the people at USC hadn't already told everyone in the media and his "inside info" all ended up being BS (Norm Chow is not the USC offensive coordinator, for example).

I sinceerely doubt he has more access at Michigan.  He's basically just saying something he thinks might happen in the hopes that it does or that three weeks from now everyone has forgotten he said it.

I don't want RR to leave this year.

With that said, there are very few coaches I would be happy replacing him, harbaugh is one of the few....

He's not a credible source, he reported lindle white failed a drug test In college he also said cj spiller and desean Jackson were going to commit to USC the day before the commited to different schools, and he's had many more aswell that's just a few

said the same thing on ESPN yesterday.  He often boasts of how he is in constant touch with Rich Rod and he is saying that the Michigan coaches "expect" to be fired and that Harbaugh to the NFL isn't a done deal.  This is really going to turn into a circus, I really would like it to be over.
