The 49ers and Raiders last played each other back in...let's see here...(blows the dust off an old tome)...2 WEEKS AGO!!!

And for those of us that live here it's every bit as real a rivalry as Michigan-MSU. You work with a Raider fan, you live nearby a Raider fan, your mechanic wears a backward Raider cap and sports a Raider tat...

They're insufferable (like sparty), remember every slight real or imagined (like...?), paint themselves as true fans while SF fans are "Forty Whiners"...

Oh it's real, my man. And Jed York don't want Mark Davis looking good at his expense (imagine that anyway!)

They are in the same community, which is even worse.  If he goes to Oakland and succeeds, it's the same fanbase and press.  The criticism would be deafening for either side based on his success or failure.

I don't think it goes down that way.  Doubt Oakland wants to give up 1st or 2nd round picks.  Doubt JH wants to go to a bad team which doesn't have those high picks.

SF probably wants him to go to Michigan, which reduces the criticism to some extent.  Can argue he went back to his Alma Matter to fix it.  Mich throws in some cash for the buyout and it would be a wrap.

Mmmm Hmmm

During or near (memory fails) the Eagles' most recent Super Bowl run, when TO was having a great regular season, TO was on pace to catch over 15 touchdowns. TO also warmed up in an all-white outfit. Andy Reid said that if TO broke 15, he (Andy Reid) would wear the same skin-tight all white outfit. One of the national telecasts mentioned this and gave an artists rendition of what it would look like--Andy Reid's head on the Michelin Man's body. Instead of that, they could have used the above picture (though edited out the Dumb & Dumber haircut). Yikes!

Mark Davis is a little disturbing, no doubt. I've lived in the Bay Area for 30 years and, like most people here, had NO IDEA Al Davis even had a son til he passed.

I have been saying Harbaugh to Michigan since the day of the Minnesota game, and nothing is done til it's done. I expect some NFL team to at least ask the 49ers at the conclusion of Sunday's game if they can talk to JH.

But, that being said, with the $$ Hackett put on the table, I don't see the Raiders being one of them. That would never have been Al's style, and I don't think his son has that kind of independent streak.

Worry more if the Falcons lose to Carolina. Blank might spend the money. But most other NFL windows appear to have slammed shut when Michigan ante'd up strong.

Well played Mr. Hackett... well played!

Did anybody think they wouldn't at least make a run at him? They can't until he's either fired or the niners grant them permission (which is why they've been trying to work out a trade) but once they can take a swing I expect them to take a big one.

They may lose out to us but I'll bet they go down guns a blazen

Unfortunately.

Rapoport wishes to be sooo right, he's pulling out the cards. He's right,Oakland in the Bay Area, true. He is backtracking and I,for one, can't wait for him and other NFL experts to fail so hard

It's not tampering if he is fired or if the 9ers grant permission. It is very easily possible that Oakland and the 9ers could have worked out a trade pending harbaughs agreeing. So season ends Sunday, Oakland talks to harbaugh and he decides between Oakland and Michigan and if he chooses Oakland trade (whatever it is goes through)

The #GameOn part is what made me laugh. I pictured Jim Hackett smacking Chuckie Davis across the chops and walking away.
