CC: Premium boards melting like snow cone in July!!

Submitted by Talcelm on
FWIW I've been up since 3, early flight show time, and have been reading ALL premium boards....it's ARMAGEDDON...the Book of Revelations...etc! JH isn't coming to AA...he has gone to the dark side and joined the ranks of the NFL unless this is the biggest sham in the history of NCAA sports!! Most posters calling for DB & MSC to be stung up,burned at the stake, names stricken from the Michigan history books, calling this the worst gaff since herbiegate/Martin goes sailing!!!

I truly have no idea what will happen in the next few days and i don't think anyone, now not even DB knows! I think we should expect to see RR back at best, if HE doesn't say go F yourself I'm going to greener pastures! Hoke would be a huge mistake and no way we get a NFL guy! Not sure what's going to happen but everyone needs to....shit I dont even know what to say....possibly saddest day in a very long time at Michigan!!! Go Blue

Pointless conjecture on the part of people posting. If anything the last 48 hours have just shown us that anyone claiming to have any insider info is just saying what their gut tells them.

The last few days have been ridiculous.

Everybody has assumed that Harbaugh is coming to AA which was never a done deal. I hope he doesn't come if only to teach people a lesson. Fans shouldn't chew out and insult their current coach and bend over for what they assume will be their next coach without any knowledge of the situation. You know what happens when you bend over?? You get fcuked in the ass (que Walter from the Big Lebowski). I'd love to see all the hypocrites having to bite their tongue and support RR when they realize Harbaugh is not coming and he is the best we've got.

Repent... and thou shall be saved.

Harbaugh isn't coming. His wife's heart (and the money) are in the bay area.

Keep RR for another year (force him to clean house on defense) and he will win 10 games (people will still be calling for his head) and this will all be behind us. It is the best thing for Michigan Football in the short term and possibly in the long term.

Seriously, I am perhaps the biggest RR homer on here and even I want DB to terminate Rich. RIght now the ethical action is termination of his position at the university. It sucks, but I feel he would be a much better fit at a southern school in the ACC or Big East. Rich and his family deserve a better position.

With all due respect your opinion doesn't matter at this point. This is literally all peoples opinion that have been building onto something that is just a giant dark cloud of peoples opinion. DB said he was going to wait until after the bowl game to evaluate RR. I take him as a man of his word and I think he is doing just that. The win trajectory upward and the perfect storm of unsuitable coaches screams of a press conference with DB telling the world that RR is the coach of Michigan Football and will be for the remainder of his contract. 3 years is not enough time to properly evaluate a college football coach and my opinion is that DB knows that much.

EDIT: This is of course my opinion and it means nothing, at all. It is what I would do, but I would have done it after the OSU loss.

If DB preserves the status quo and we have another season anything like the one we just endured, I can only imagine what things will be like at the Big House next year.  If Brandon planned on keeping RichRod, what has gone on since the OSU game is NOT the way to do things.

Do you honestly think that any of the CC threads and/or posts have been anything other than personal opinion and/or conjecture?  Other than a very, very few, everything posted over the past 5 weeks has been exactly this.  You're a little late to the "game" to be complaining about people posting their opinions.

harbaugh seem like the kind of guy who has a little more "hand" with his wife....

i also believe JH's first wife who he has a kid with lives in Cali (not necessarily the Bay Area, but within a couple of hours) which may also be swaying his potential decision.

personally, i'm going to let him sleep on his big win last night and hope he wakes up ready to come to AA.

Where did they start thier family? Are thier kids in school? Is his wife happy and professionally stable in the bay area? Would she feel happy moving to Michigan rather than staying where they are and having her husband make 10 MIL a yr? Yeeeaaaaa... JH is not coming to Michigan. Time to start our next brilliant plan of action.

So in other words, you're just speculating that his wife wants to stay in the Bay Area.

And NFL coaches RARELY stay in the same place for more than a few years.  So even if the kids are in school right now, there's a very good chance that they'll be moving in 3 years, anyway.  How many NFL coaches have been fired this year?  I'm not sure of the number, but I'm guessing there have probably been/will be more than a half dozen changes.

It seems that if his "kids" are a large determining factor the college route would be the way to go. That lends to the idea that it's either Stanford or Michigan. I have a feeling though that his competitive nature would push him towards the NFL.  Truth be told, I don't have a damn clue what the hell is going to happen.  But it sure is entertaining/annoying/stressful/exciting to watch everybody go ape shit over this.

I'm pretty sure that Jim has three kids from his first wife (whom I believe is based in California and is obviously not moving with him no matter where he goes) and two with his second wife.  One of the older kids is at Oregon State (remember when he gave his opinion on the coaching situation a few weeks ago?) and I assume the other two w wife #1 are younger.

Thus, if Harbaugh takes a job outside of Cali, he will see his older three kids less b/c they're with his first wife in Cali.

Now excuse me while I try to forget I have come to learn the divorce status and child care situation of a college coach.

DB went all in for JH.

Says who? Honestly. I haven't heard a single word from DB that says he even went after JH. I know ESPN has been blowing up about it, but if you take DB at his word (which everyone has always said we should) then he has waited until now to do anything other than put out feelers. If that is going all in for JH then that is weak as hell. I just don't believe anything out of Bristol becaus eit has proven itself to be full of shit too many times in the past.

If you could ask for anything that would help this team out right now what would it be?

I would ask for two veteran cornerbacks and we will have them.

We also might get a DC worth a shit. That's what I am hoping.

Edit: Also 7 is greater than 5. That's a fact.

But what if the snow cone is in Antarctica!!! WHAT THEN?? It's still cold enough there in July!!!1 If you're going to tell us when, you have to say where otherwise the analogy might be misinterpreted by those who are detail-oriented (read: OCD)

between a premium board poster and any other board poster?

I can pay the Freep for a full-page ad detailing the reasons why I feel that DB and MSC didn't do squat.  Doesn't mean that I'm somehow more clairvoyant than the dude who reads the funnies or jerks off to the lingerie ads.

Really? The media has been back and forth like this for days now. Nothing new. We will know when DB announces who the coach is going to be. If JH signs with a NFL team before then, then we will know he isn't coming. Settle down and wait it out.

lack of facts when the local media report.  Yesterday they write someting and its taken as truth.  Today something is written and now its the truth.  No one knows the truth until DB or other key parties make a statement.  Change the subject.

I feel keeping RR would be worse then getting Hoke. If we keep RR we are going to be here in the same place next year. After what you seen at the bowl game, Ohio State game, Wisconsin Game, MSU Game on and on do you really think RR has turn the corner and this team is fundamentally sound  and on the verge of greatness.

I don't know what you "seen" when you "turn the corner," but you appear to pay as much attention in grammar class as you do to what is actually happening on the football field.  Maybe you should go to Barnes and Noble today and hire Strunk and White as your personal head coaches.

Just on my first cup of coffee after 3 hours sleep. I didn’t mean to offend you with my grammar, apparently I not the football expert you are I'm just trying to have some fun   I thought when I ran a rescue that was life or death apparently not. Sorry
