CC: "The Experts" discuss RR and his future

Submitted by The Baughz on

Just in case any of you guys want to tune in, The Experts on ESPNU are going to be discussing the future of RR and what their opinions are about it. There was some disucssion in the preview of the show regarding RR. Tom Luginbill said from the reports he has heard he doesn't think the prognosis of RR's future looks good. He said he thinks it is a mistake to get rid of RR because of the progress on the offensive side of the ball and how it will hurt  recruiting.

Coach Belloti and Charles Arbuckle agreed that they believe RR should not be fired but there has to be major changes on the defensive side of the ball. No surprises there. Basically, they all agree that RR deserves another year and they believe that Michigan is headed in the right direction.

It is a 3 hour show, so Im not sure exactly when they will talk about RR again, but I just wanted to let you guys know that they will be discussing this topic again in more detail later in the show.

First of all to understand what happened to killer, you gotta understand who killer the dog was. Now killer was born to a three-legged bitch of a mother. He was always ashamed of this, man. And then right after that he's adopted by this man, Tito Liebowitz he's a small time gun runner and a rotweiler fight promoter. So he puts killer into training. They see killer's good. He is damn good. But then he had the fight of his life. They pit him against his brother nibbles. And killer said "no man that's my brother, I can't fight nibbles" but they made him fight anyway, and killer, he killed nibbles. Killer said "that's it!" he called off all his fights, and he started doing crack, and he freaked out. Then in a rage, he collapsed, and his heart no longer beat. wow.

I support Rich Rodriguez and so does Killer

- things not said by tim brown.

- similar to what he did at wvu. things need to change on defense, but offense is too special to pass up (lungibell sp?).

- harbaugh or no one. anyone else and it is waste (pollack).

- making the switch would set program back due to different styles, not a good decision (belotti sp?).

- rr ran off mallet (a guy i don't know who has taken the tim brown approach to his job).

It's pretty much not at all surprising that the voice of reason would come from Luginbill, Pollack and Bellotti.  Particularly, Bellotti.  He knows exactly what's going on with the Michigan program as he lived through a very similar process while fostering essentially the same type of offense transition.

One could obtain better information and analysis from any one of at least 100 posters on this forum.

Do they really get paid for that shit?  Is the IQ requirement at least 80 to be an "Expert" of perhaps a tad lower?

It sure sounds like spit to me.  Carramrod to you too.

with the media in general on this "unique situation"

They have no problem bringing the conversation up, but then they act like they don't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole. They should read some of the many threads on here for reference.

I agree. That was a bit disappointing as they didnt get as in depth about RR as I thought they were going to. The preview of the show was a bit misleading as each guy only had little to say about it. I guess that was to be expected. But  they were pro RR which I was glad to see. Tim Brown should never be allowed on the show again, he was terrible. also agree that there are more qualified "experts" on mgoblog and would rather get my Michigan info and insight from you guys.
