I have been told that Durkin is signed sealed and delivered. I fully understand that I am a no one. I emailed Brian some info on this topic earlier today from my source and now my same source is telling me that he has signed tonight. Hopefully a more reputable sources can confirm shortly. Otherwise off to Boliva I go...... :-(

Sources inside Schembechler Hall confirm that they're hiring a full time DJ, who will be blasting music constantly to keep the team pumped. The DJ, called DJ Durkin (no relation to the coach of the same name), will be joined by the aspiring rapper MC Escher (again, no relation to the artist of the same name). MC Escher issued a statement, saying that he vows to "spit hot fire" over the "dope beats" that DJ Durkin will be laying down.

geesh, this staff is just average now. Could have been great with Anderson on board but without him I'm not too excited about Durkin & GMatt. Are they even decent recruiters? Do they know much about defense seeing that Anderson isn't going to take them under his wing? Next we'll hear that some average UM rehash like Wheatley will be hired or something. Chip Kelly or our staff is going to be a laughing stock.

In a big picture view, I think confirmations should come through actual MGOBLOG staff.

 

I appreciate that the OP has sources and feels confident enough to share them with Brian, but without a link or at least a respected social media account, posts like these don't make me feel anymore confident about CC related news.

But I believe one of the key beauties of a blog like this is that we have a wide spread of people interested/invested/associated to Michigan. Today I had a tidbit of info, fortunate enough to hear the status of a development we are all interested in. Yeah most of us 'believed' this was/is a done deal, but given the past few days where things have swung from one extreme to another. Things change quickly Last month it was WD ( a much bigger story). Today I have this tidbit. Tomorrow who knows who will have the next tidbit. I did forward my info to the MgoBlog staff to see if they can confirm the good news I have tried to be cautious about posting this, but given the circumstances I thought it was beneficial to community.....

Same page here. I understand that people have sources and you want to share them with the MGoWorld. I'm also happy that we have so many people well connected people around the globe to Michigan Sports who can get the inside scoop before most media outlets. I hope you keep posting as you see fit.

 

The problem I feel recently is that twitter feeds and message boards are being cited as facts. Twitter is like the longest game of telephone ever. Why do you think posters always ask for a link when people post gut feelings or rumors? I'm not saying your info was from twitter or anything but without a confirmable source, are we really adding anything to the discussion?
