Hear him in his own words.

My intention was to give a heads up to whoever wanted to hear how he presented himself to a national audience. If we had all heard Hoke interact with the media during "The Process," there may have been some grassroots effort to avoid his hire. There was no Michigan content in Mullen's interview.

I would have expressed myself more clearly if the post wasn't time sensitive and I hadn't been watching for the vehicle in front of me to begin moving through the school carpool lane.

Posting a brief message before the interview seemed to hold more value than posting to inform people that they had just missed the interview.

It is funny how 11-12 months can change a life.  Hoke was sitting pretty after 5-6 games last year - some ugly wins vs UConn and Akron but train didnt fall apart until PSU MSU.  Meanwhile Dan Mullen was in year 5 of his rebuild and thru 10 games was 4-6.

Fast forward 11 months and hilarity ensues.

Not to pat myself on the back (who am I kidding, this is totally to pat myself on the back), but I was the one who started a thread four years ago called "Hire Dan Mullen," and was dismissed by many.

I think I feel a tear forming as I think about Denard and Devin working under Dan Mullen the past four years...

I think that Devin would really be able to thrive in a mullens offense if he put on about 20 pounds. He is a little light in the pants and if he didnt put on some weight and keep his speed and agility he would be able to get things going because he would take a beating in that offense and if he didnt put on the weight he would definitly miss some games due to a few injuries.

I think he was a reasonably popular name around here for the last coaching search, particularly after he pantsed us in the bowl game.  But we all knew we weren't going to take another spread coach because of worst-fanbase-ever.  God, imagine if we had hired Gus Malzahn, who is looking like the runaway best coach in the country right now.
