CC - Anyone Know if the U of M Plane is Near the Orange Bowl

Submitted by bluebyyou on

I kind of remember that some of the MGoblog community were tracking  U of M planes on recruiting trips. If Harbaugh is the one, I wonder if he might do what the new Maryland hire, Randy Edsall, did and fly to Ann Arbor or wherever they keep the plane after tonight's game.

So, if you know the plane's ID number and a tracking website, you MIGHT have a scoop.

Cut me some slack...this type of tracking was done several times during recruiting.  I would think this is at least as relevant as the other thousands of post on CC or trying to track a coach talking to a recruit.

Well, maybe not - hope this ends soon so I can resume normal work habits.  I check here about every 30 minutes....billing is going to hell.

Here is a plane that would work...not owned by the U of M but obviously suitable.

What Edsall did was classless, not to mention gutless.  He called the team and told them he was leaving on the phone because he had already flown out.  I certainly hope Harbaugh wouldn't do anything like that.  I can wait another day for him to do the right thing and fly back with his team and tell them in person.

But Elway is there. I'm sure it's strictly in his capacity as a Stanford alumnus. Nothing at all to do with the Broncos, of course.

actually found a link about an agreement about brandon still using domino's aircraft

https://techagreements.com/agreement-preview.aspx?search=govlaw&gov=27&…

http://www.footnoted.com/my-big-fat-deal/freshly-baked-employment-agree…

"he keeps the right to use his “Yearly Aircraft Hours” on the company’s plane through the end of FY 2011, or until he stops serving on Dominos’ board."

flight tracker shows it was in jacksonville for bowl game, and stop at willow run a few times

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N220DF/history

also this site can search FAA by register name, or company name, or register location etc.

http://www.aircraftone.com/search.asp?type=rn

So i first searched "related", which is supposed to be Stephen Ross's company from Wikipedia. It yielded 2 planes, both stopped at willow run during game days

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N510SR/history

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N765XJ/history

from this former post http://mgoblog.com/content/rich-rodriguez-has-left-stallworth-house

it was mentioned that "chase equipment" is a company that leases plane for coaches

it yielded alot of results from aircraftone.com ; however, some of those on the list have hidden their flight track info on flight aware, however, among those info not hidden, one has flown frequently from willow run

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N510SD/history

I don't think it's a coincidence that it stopped flying from Dec 21 to Jan 3 (the recruiting dead period)

During my search for "chase equipment", i think i found WMU's recruiting plane too

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N373WP/history

i also did a search based on planes register to ann arbor, but there are too many

I know this might be a bit creepy, and it's my first post too (usually just read, don't post), but i'm too boring in a hotel in san francisco (ye i visited stanford stadium lol) during winter break, heading back to aa tmr for another semester
