CBSSports Video: Steve Lorenz and I Make Season Predictions

Submitted by Ace on

This is the first of what will be weekly videos 247's Steve Lorenz and I will do during the season. The focus going forward is likely to be Big Ten picks, but in today's we picked our breakout player, MVP, and regular-season record for Michigan. Hope y'all enjoy.

I'm guessing these will go in a UV in the future, but during season preview week I figured I'd throw it on the board.

Well Brian did try to hire Lorenz until 24/7 hired him out from under MGoBlog. And it makes sense. Lorenz is a recruiting guy and 24/7 is a recruiting site; they have the national network to make recruiting writing work on a big level. And MGoBlog is probably the single best place to go for UM content; and UM has a huge alumni base who have a ton of money.

Heading into the season, as fans wanting to know how our guys will perform, can we get a better assessment from a coach who views competition as the last word and measure of success, no, we can't. So, you're saying things are good? I'm saying they are raging in competition. OK, then.

Well, it's nice to see both current and former bloggers in the same prediction video together, right? This was a cool feature and I actually liked the first question in particular on stnadouts - I find it hard to choose personally, but those were good choices in each case.

It will be interesting to see this evolve as the season goes on. Thanks for sharing, Ace.

I almost always hedge my bets when talking about Michigan.....and I'm saying we go 12-0 this year.

I feel we HAVE to win in Columbus this year because I don't know if I see it happening again anytime in the near future with the ridiculous talent they are bringing in and how much they lost in a year.

Nice to see your predictions though.

No one is unbeatable. Home or away. Ever. I don't care how much talent they have compared to the team across the field.

MSU went into Columbus with a backup QB who'd never played a meaningful snap in college, and a bunch of 2-3 star leftovers that all the blue bloods passed on, went up against arguably the most talented OSU team ever assembled, and threw them around like rag dolls.

be more of surprise loss at IA or at home against WI.  I would like to defeat both MSU and OSU at their place! It's time to right the ship against MSU and OSU and win the B1G and get into the playoffs!
