CB Will Lockett Sticking to UCLA

Submitted by alum96 on

He said he'd make his decision between UCLA and UM shortly after his visit and he did.  Happy trails.

"It was extremely difficult to choose between the two," Lockett told Wolverine247.

Order of tiers is probably like this

  1. Iman
  2. Williamson/Arnette
  3. Adams/Bush

Arnette seemed very fond of UM and we send a whole gang to his house shortly after so would seem the most likely.  Bush I am sure we could get on NSD as he has no other offers.  Williamson is blowing up and getting a lot of SEC offers now such as Auburn so seems difficult.  Adams was at Rugers this weekend and kept his recruitment open while remaining
"committed" - will be here next weekend.

So Arnette + Adams/Bush seems most likely if we get 2.  Which we need down the road.

Iman + Williamson/Arnette is the dream ticket.

Is Marcus Lewis being being recruited by the new staff? He's a highly rated, big/fast CB that had a lot of interest even when we were losing last year. Seems like that would have been one of the first recruits we would have targeted. Wasn't he also committed to UF? Durkin must have liked what he saw at one time.

When factoring in better weather, comparable academics, and those gorgeous cheerleaders, it's unreasonable to think why he chose UCLA.

Best of luck, kid. Hopefully this gives us a better shot on Marshall somehow.

UCLA of all schools is turning out to be our biggest rival in recruiting in 2015. Looks like we might lose Chris Clark to them also. I hope im wrong. But some of his comments he made via twitter led me to believe hes going to pledge with UCLA.

and refusing to give up hope on Marshall.

He's probably going to be the next LMIII that we seemed to everything perfect with, but still picked USC but oh well. Hopefully the Jabrill effect is enough.

And in looking at it, we've lost of good # of DBs to USC lately that were down mostly to us and them. LMIII, Cravens, JuJu, and Adoree Jackson some. At points it seemed like UM had a great shot with all of them,
