Looks like he just decommitted from Narduzzi.   (Narduzzi can't recruit jokes go here).

Have seen a few places OSU is his "dream  offer" but not sure he will get one.  UM has been the rumored landing spot per the crystal balls for a long while.

He only has 1 visit set up before his senior yr.  To UM.

Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward cornerback Tony Butler told 247Sports on Friday afternoon that he was decommitting from Pittsburgh. "Starting from scratch," Butler added.

The only thing Butler has scheduled moving forward is a return visit to Michigan on July 15.  "That'll be my last visit before the start of the season."

Butler would be UM's sole recruit from Ohio in this year's class.

Trieu has a pretty in depth piece on Butler here from April if interested.

Minnesota was 18th nationally in pass defense last year, and Dienhart has the Gophers' secondary ranked as #1 in the Big 10 West this coming year. The Gophers have had a DB drafted in both of the last two drafts, and ESPN ranks Eric Murray as the #2 senior CB in the country this coming year. I'd put the over/under at 2.5 DB's drafted from Minnesota this coming year, and over wouldn't be a shock.

Of the areas that Gopher fans feel really good about their coaches' ability to evaluate and develop talent, DB is at the top of the list.

the Minnesota defense has had some players under Kill and solid DBs with a couple this year. I've heard they could have as many as 5 All-B1G guys on defense alone. Maybe not all 1st team but still.

Scout ran a (free) article yesterday that quotes him saying, "Arizona State is my number one school right now."

He also says he wants to take five official visits, with ASU, Michigan, Maryland, Minnesota, and Rutgers mentioned.

Thanks - nice catch.  Will be interesting to see if any crystall ballz head to ASU.  UM will have a chance to make their case in 2 weeks.

His quote about making a name for himself in the Pac 12 due to the nature of the passing offenses is accurate - Pac 12 passing offenses put Big 10 ones to shame so if you want to be a CB constantly tested I agree with that logic.  That's just a long way to go for a Midwest kid - just like its not easy to get those kids out of CA to Midwest schools.

Shit, if I were a physical corner I'd stand in line to play for narduzzi, I'd even consider walking on. How many 2 star kids has he put in the nfl the last few years? But on a side note: Such it Narduzzi! Such it sideways, beotchh!

He is and was a great coach, no doubt. But Narduzzi's on record as saying Dantonio wanted to run a scheme just like he ran at OSU, with big corners and the like. Narduzzi insisted they run his aggressive press scheme because he couldn't get the personnel they had at Ohio State. By implication that says the Sparty scheme was the brainchild of Narduzzi. They're not going to suck overnight, but a combination of losing his expertise on that scheme, replacing him with coaches who aren't quite as good, and the changes they'll be forced to make given how spread teams exposed them last year, could lead to some degradation in their performance. I think that's what people mean when they talk about losing Narduzzi, and it's a valid point
