I read it wrong then, my apologies, but just know athletes read this blog too.

At any rate, looks like TTB is going to have to strike #38 on the list.  He's projected to have been a backup CB.

So now Talbott's a junior, and some suggested he was pushing starter J.T. Floyd at the boundary corner position in the spring. By the April 14 open scrimmage, Floyd was the #1 guy, but it may be a situation to watch.

You have been around for 5 more days than I, sensei.  I can't remember how I found mgoblog but it was either through a google search or a link from autumn thunder.  Autumn Thunder is no longer around but it was hillarious mostly football themed photoshopping by some student.

We just went straight Kumbaya on MGoBlog.  I can't recall how I stumbled across mgoblog, i just know i had to make sense of the new regime, and I followed the site a few months before actually joining.  I think the first site i visited was umgoblue, then i might have thrown that into google and found mgoblog... i think the banner at the time was Mike Hart.  Ahhh, the good old days.

That is not a true statement. Terrence was proud to be a  Michigan Wolverine and many of his frends and family became fans because of him and his brother becoming wolverines. I can tell you this was a very hard decision for him. One of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make. He was and still remains loyal to the University and the football team. Due to personal (nothing criminal or because of the any of the things people are talking about) issues he chose to leave.

I ask you all to please be considerate of his feelings and pray for him. He is a young man who is venturing into a new phase in his life. Some may not understand or agree wth him but this is a lesson and a journey he has to take.

We have been reading many of the post and appreciate some of the comments and some well we just chalk it up to speculation and misinformation. He does want everyone to know that he will always bleed maize and blue and he is thankful for the opportunity he was given to become apart of such a prestigious program.

I know all of this because I am his mother. Please keep Terrence and Terry in your prayers.

isn't oversigning and proves once again that he can count, the staff knows more about these things than we do, and we aren't the SEC just yet.

Of course, I guess it is possible that Hoke read the blog and realized he had taken one too many commits, so he ran over and asked Terrance to leave.

Well I hate to be associated with Spartyville, but I was getting pretty suspicious when I heard we were signing 25 now.  But now I see Talbott is out, plus who knows what will happen with Clark.  I shouldn't have doubted the coaches, I will take my negging like a man.

Well, you could say we haven't signed anyone yet and then ask them if they understand the difference between taking a few more verbal commits than you have scholarship spots for (a regular practice and a fine one given that these athletes won't be on campus for a year and attrition happens) vs. having more athletes sign LOI's than you have spots for (not OK since you've legally bound them in a unidirectional fashion).

On the other hand, seems some of our own don't understand that distiction.

I for one do not think that reneging on our verbal offers to recutits is OK once they have pubically committed to us.  We certainly don't like it when 18 year old kids do it, why would we be OK when highly paid professional coaching staffs do it.

I don't think Hoke intends to withdraw any offers that recruits have publically committed to.

You have to at least wonder, given the timing with respect to recruiting, if Hoke or Mattison sat down with Terrence and asked, "Son, were you hoping for playing time while you are here...?"  Not that it would be wrong for them to do that -- that kind of conversation probably should happen sometimes.  I of course have no clue what actually happened.  But given the timing you have to wonder.

That type of conversation will typically happen at the end of a season and at the end of spring 'ball with either the offensive/defensive coordinator, your position coach, or both.

I sort of doubt (read: hope) that that conversation did not happen just now, unless there was some sort of situation that set it off (really don't want to speculate on that).

They can't sign anyone for this up-coming season, so there's no point in not keeping him around and having him play this year, if for no other reason for depth. Then if you needed to push him out for room you'd do it after the season for next year so you could sign more for next year's class. There's no gain at all in doing it now. So it's probably not for any of those reasons.

So no, you don't have to wonder.

I wonder if some of the hype and PT he received from the coaching staff during Spring was to help generate interest for a transfer. Never seemed like he was destined for much PT but seemed like a good kid nonetheless. Best of luck to him.

If floyd goes down, I believe after an offseason of weight training we could survive with Countess moving to field, and Avery taking over boundary, with either Richardson/Hollowell/Taylor at the nickel.

Obviously that's not the ideal situation, however with Kovacks and Thomas Gordon holding down the safety spots, our seconday could be in worse positions... NEVER FORGET.
