Five years ago?  No, wait, that was him beating Florida at the Capital One Bowl.  It just wasn't his offense.

Be nice now and don't neg me off the planet...just having some fun.  I really do like Carr.  Class man, fine football coach.  Good luck and good health to him.

I hope that Carr has a long and enjoyable retirement.  He certainly put in his time at Michigan.  He was not always popular, but in my mind, he was a great coach and is an ever greater man.

His 122-40 record with one Natl Championship in 13 seasons is every bit as good as Lou Holtz' 100-32-2 record with one Natl Championship in 11 seasons at ND. Unfortunately for Carr he didn't succeed Gerry Faust. As time passes and RR's record improves Carr will get more credit for his accomplishments. Personally I'd be more excited if Lou Holtz retired.
