Carol Hutchins Interview
As we now sit exactly one month before the beginning of softball season, Mgoblue.com coverage is starting to ramp up a bit. Today they posted a nice interview with Coach Hutch, addressing a number of aspects of the upcoming season, including the pitching staff (now with three legit pitchers, given the addition of freshman Megan Betsa), the strength of the Big Ten conference, and who she expects to make the leap forward. I was happy to see Kelsey Susalla get mentioned there, as she's someone I've had pegged as a potential break-out player since last season.
For those of us ready to see a Michigan team that will win a pile of games & represent the University in the best way, softball season can't get here soon enough!

That's a great story, thanks for sharing! I can easily imagine Hutch doing something like that. I hope to make it to a game or two this year, probably during regionals if we do well enough to host. Enjoy the tournament!

Thanks for the post. It puts a smile on my face knowing softball isn't too far away. A reminder of how dominant Michigan can be.

I'm glad that folks enjoy them. It's one of the things that I love about MGoBlog - the fact that it's not just a football/b-ball blog. Obviously those things get a lot of attention, but pretty much all the sports get their due when they achieve things of note.
I'm going to start working on a softball season-preview soon & post it as a diary when we get a little closer. I think the other regular softball commenters on here will agree with me when I say that this team has the potential to have a truly special season.
