Carlton Brundidge and Juwan Howard Jr. Come To Visit

Submitted by Everyone Murders on

Brendan Quinn put up a nice ARTICLE on Carlton Brundidge's return to his prior home court, and Juwan Howard Jr.'s visit to his father's old stomping grounds.  Both players relished a career at Michigan, but Brundidge wanted immediate playing time (he was well-regarded out of h.s.) and Howard Jr. was not quite skilled enough in h.s. to merit a UofM scholarship.

It sounds like Brundidge has really matured well, and Howard comes off well in the article too.  Their presence certainly adds a nice element to the UofD Mercy game.  I wish these kids the best, and wish things had worked out better for Brundidge during his time with Michigan.

Detroit also has Brandan Kearney a msu/asu transfer.

Edit: Doesn't really matter since he has to sit out this season.

Edit 2: I guess he can play. Who the hell knows.

So crazy in retrospect to remember that Carlton Brundidge was more highly rated after high school than Trey Burke.

Also interesting that we play Detroit and Maryland this year considering the transfers after the 2011-12 season of Brundidge and Evan Smotrycz opened the scholarship slots for Spike and Caris. I don't think I'm speaking out of turn in stating all Michigan fans would take that trade again.
