So the Freemasons are behind all of this? I knew it!
I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
So the Freemasons are behind all of this? I knew it!
We can assume Hyde put his arm back towards the woman, and made contact with her face. Whether this was accidental contact or a deliberate slap is open to interpretation.
I'm sure there were eye witnesses. Isn't that enough? If the video isn't conclusive...
maybe a dozen of Hyde's friends were among the eye-witnesses. And the girls friends were there as well. Good luck sorting through those statements.
This story has more twists than a Christopher Nolan movie. Or an old fashion film noir for those of you that like the classics. Or a glazed twist donut for those of you who like donuts, which should be all of you, mmhmmm donuts...
Bottom line is that if a woman strikes you then you walk away, you don't hit back. There's no way he was hurt by her and no need for him to defend himself by striking back. Walk away.
Unless you fear for your safety, the smart move when anyone hits you is to walk away. Macho crap just escalates the situation, especially if you are a high profile person, and pulls you into the legal mess.
I was once punched in the face by a lesbian in a bar parking lot. I walked away and punched my friend through a car window because he was laughing at me so hard.
I have no idea how to judge your actions in this situation. But damn I wish I was there to see it.
you are permitted to 'Stand your Ground' when your friend is having "joy, laughter, or undue enjoyment due to your unfortutitous situation."
Let the guy get a game or two suspension. I want him on the team when we kick the shit out of them this year. No excuses.
He was just swatting at flies. She got in the way.
is going on.
What did the 5 fingers say to the face? SLAP!
That's crazy! You mean to say there is an unbiased journalist in Columbus?
He could be biased against OSU for the attention. There's been more than one sports journalist who made hay by riling up the locals.
The unbiased reporting stopped right after her report when they tossed to Sports Director, Jerod Smalley, who had a hilariously homer point of view setting up his next piece
No coach at Big 10 media day in Chicago garnered more attention or curiosity than Urban Meyer. 2nd place was not even close, and that’s for two reasons: “A” Ohio State is a heavy favorite to win the Big 10 this season and “B” four player discipline incidents over the past week which have grabbed national headlines.
Yes, Jerod, the buckeyes "won" the attention award as "2nd place was not even close!" Hear that Bucknuts? It was a blowout! While the rest of the programs didn't realize there was a competition for attention, your El Camino was the pace car! Get out the urine bucket and hand sanitizer, because it's time to celebrate with a head dunk!
He follows that by claiming the reason for all the attention was because: " 'A' Ohio State is a heavy favorite to win the Big 10 this season and “B” four player discipline incidents..."
Uh, Jerod I think that's A - because of the four player discipline incidents, B - those same said incidents, C - Florida player discipline incidents, D - back to OSU incidents, E - Aaron Hernandez, F - - questions about recent buckstache incidents...
Without all the legal munbo jumbo, a dude shouldn't hit a lady that didn't hit him.
At first I thought Urban would suspend him until their first tough game...but that would be almost the whole season.
Logic, if there is nothing to see on the video why would there be any reason to be concerned over it being seen? You only hide the truth if there is something to hide. Let's just see the video and end this.
More logic: if there was nothing to be seen on the video why would any individual feel the need to leak it to the media?
exactly. This whole situation is fishy. With Ohio under as much scrutiny as they are you're going to hide the evidence that could prove innocence. I was born at night but not last night.
so do the writers from bleacherreport.com work for yahoo's fact checking department now?
Why is this video so top secret? When pacman slapped a chick at a bar the video was out right away.
If there's a video with strippers in it, it's going to find its way on to the internet toot sweet.
I heard that the woman hit Hyde so hard that he went into an immediate fugue state. His delusion-fueled attempt at self defense took the form of a swing that was so stronge it bent the space-time continuum. His punch ultimately landing in the Ford's Theater in 1865, crashing through the back of then Pres. Lincoln's head.
Basically, Hyde assassinated arguably our greatest president and let another man hang for it. That's good for at least a 2 game suspension.
Well yeah, I can imagine why they'd be upset. Sure seems like they got caught not telling the whole story
confused, Hyde was never charged, so there were no charges to 'drop'. If you meant that they have declined to press charges, has this been confimed or just in the yahoo story where it says they didn't expect charges?
The authorities never delcared no crime and dropped charges. Only the Yahoo reporter speculated that charges would be dropped (or never brought) and that Yahoo reporter was referenced by all the other main media outlets. The authorities are upset because someone leaked the video they had not finished investigating. The authorities, even when they are beyond reproach, always want to make sure the correct and most accurate story is reported and they can only do that if they take their time reviewing the evidence.
Police don't actually "press" or "drop" charges. Police take the reports of what happened, gather all the evidence they can find and then bring their findings to a prosecutorial agency. It's the prosecutorial agency that decides whether to charge a person with committing a crime.
Of course, the decision of the prosecutors is only as good as the evidence they are presented with by the police.
when a policeman pulls over a drunk driver and places them under arrest, they aren't 'pressing' charges?????? A million more examples would suffice to say that yes, police do in fact press charges on criminals.
If she really did hit him first I have no issue with him returning the favor. Just because you have that magic box between your legs doesn't mean you can disrespect me in such a way. Simple as that.
The law also has an issue with women hitting men.
If you've been stomped by some chicks I suggest you seek counseling.
Nope never have. Speaking from experiences I have seem in ly personal life.
Im really hoping this is sarcasm. if not I feel sorry for you.
I really don't see the issue with what I said. In no way am I saying beat her to a bloody pulp or anything of the like, no woman or man should ever hit the opposite sex but if it does happen I don't see the issue with hitting her/him back. It's a mutual respect thing. In my experience with women in college they often feel like they have the right to strike you and you can't defend yourself. That's bull shit, simple as that .
Whether it's in college or the trailer park, if women "often feel like they have the right to strike you," I'm guessing the women aren't the source of the problem.
A women has never felt like they have had the right to hit me, if they Did I would have been hit by a woman already in my 19 years of life. Like I said there's always a mutual respect between women and myself. When it comes to women hitting men I'm speaking from seeing my female cousin often hit her husband for the smallest things.
How many people on here can't see the difference between defending yourself and hitting someone? I (and probably no one else on here) would have an issue with you defending yourself against an attack by a woman. She comes at you to slap you, you move aside or grab her hand maybe...you don't whack her back.
They appeared to have an argument, which appeared to be instigated by Hyde. She attempted to, or did slap him. He slapped her back. Contrary to what has previously been rumored, no one got knocked out or punched in the face. Also, Hyde didn't act unilaterally.
To me this appears to be on of those teaching moments in life for both parties (i.e., not a career ending event). Should he have done what he did, ever? No. But there is such a thing as heat of the moment and "fight or flight" when you adrenaline is up. In this case he appears not to have done the right thing like we were thinking with the release of the Yahoo report.
In Carlos' case, if there is a major team value statement about respecting women, well he clearly has broken a major team value, and therefore some consquence is in order. Publically, since the case is public.
My view - the best thing for Mgoblog to do here is let the police, the DA, and OSU figure this out, while we mind our own business.
a combination of Alvin York and Audie Murphy, a Leonidas on steroids...what a tough S.O.B. you are. Slapping the shit out of a woman because she disrespected you assuredly places you in the glorious panthenon of notable toughies such as Sean Penn, Charlie Sheen, and Mel Gibson.
I have never put my hand on a woman, I never have had to because its a mutual respect between us always. I never said slapping her chin off of her face or anything like that. Maybe a better way to put it is grabbing her up and restraining her.
Yes........that's a much better way of putting it........
Seeing as in how you are a woman I'm guessing by your username could you please tell me the best way to deal with it. I don't see walking away working. Women tend to hit more than once.
Dude, seriously, I don't know who you're dating, but I can honestly tell you, I know no woman who has ever hit a guy. But yes, I think walking away is the best way to deal with an irate woman. Just keep walking.
